Im tinkerin around with my TXT project. Right now i am on the drive train, I am running
55t motor with a 13 tooth pinion,
GD600 set at 3.8:1 ( 9tooth pinion on output shaft)
stock txt trans which is 6.37:1
axles 2:1

Out of curiosity i hooked it up to a 7.2v pack... and the trans outputs turn REALLY slow...

... Do i have too much reduction?

I'm running roughly the same redux (I don't really remember what pinions I have on there) but I'm doing it with a 7t cobalt and 3 cell lipo. It could be a tad bit faster, but I'm not complaining. What tires you use has a big part to play in what redux you use, I'd definitely be geared higher if I were running maxx size tires, but I'm running moab XL's. I'd say try it and see what happens.

Keep in mind that I'm a speed junky.

i run kong on a set with xfactor axles and a txt tranny and a gd-600 i think it is fine if you are not competing with it.

I've been running 2x55t,7.2, stock gearing and 6 inch tires for years and don't plan on changing.
