Trackstar waterproof esc

I searched the forums and found bits here and there. Nothing in the description says crawler mode but I'm unclear what that actually means in terms of actual programming. Thinking about pairing the 120a with a roc 412 when I have the funds.

well I personally like to have forward/direct reverse. Most have to double tap to get reverse. .

Remember your brushless sensored motor needs to be waterproofed too or your wasting your time

You don't seem to mind China versions of things...so consider a SkyRC Toro Pro4 for the motor. As dirtman mentioned, the sensor board needs waterproofing.

Aren't they all various versions of Chinese crap? $50 Chinese crap you throw away when it goes up in smoke. $175 Chinese crap you send for warranty.

I am no expert on ESC's. I tried 2 of my Novak no crawler esc's and I couldnt get direct reverse and if I tried to hold my position on the rocks to long the esc's would shut down(safty feature cause they thought the drivetrain was bound up).

Only a few guy's I run with are brushless/sensored and I see that they are not so smooth at slow speed. One guy just gave a Tekin setup away.

I have been running an old Brushless Hobbies 120a 1st Gen esc that I have had for 4 years in my crawler for about 6 months and I love it. It is super smooth at slow speed with a novak 25.5 on 2s. It is completely programmable on you PC or laptop. Is it made in China? I dont really know. But Stan at brushless hobbies goes through each one(or used too). Plus customer service is great. I had an issue once that I thought was an esc turned out after a phone call and a few emails i had 2 bad batteries.

LT4 (120A) Brushless ESC Sensorless Sensored with USB Flash/Programmer

No its not waterproof. But I would find it very difficult to tust my electronics to water. I dont need to run the fan, it doesnt get hot at all with my driving style and set up, even at 90+ degrees outside. I could put it in a waterproof box. even if waterproofed things myself water seems to find a way in. some guys have had luck waterproofing a sensored motor. Holmes hobbies seems to have some waterproof set ups but that will set you back some coin.
