I know there's some Crawlers around Keene! My brother's created a sweet course in the woods, come try it out Aug 3rd.

I'm in Keene, but I can't make it this weekend. I'd love to go crawling with you guys another time if you do something like this again.

Had a great event last Saturday, sounds like everyone had fun! Next event is in the works at Lonesome Valley in Canterbury on Labor day weekend. Probably have another one in Swanzey in early October.

Any word on the Canterbury event? I’m not on Facebook but am itching for a comp that’s somewhat local to me.

Dickie posted it in our RC section on Tapatalk:

That's right folks, the "crew" here at Lonesome Valley is ready to host another crawl and oval event here in Canterbury.

The date is Sept 1st.

We'll start off around 10-ish with some slow crawling action on the same course as last time, but plans are in the works to extend a couple sections with some new obstacles. And if the neighbor approves, we'll be using his stone wall across the street as well. Guidelines for Crawling will be the same as we did at Wilder RC Park. Seemed to work pretty well there.

Then after a hearty meal, we'll head over to the oval track for some oval racing. Thinking it'll be around 6ish or so. Have plans to have some lighting up so we can race under the lights. Classes planned would be Street Stock, Coupes, Small and Big Block Mudbosses (all based on Short Course trucks).
As much as I want to have computer lap counting, I seriously doubt I can make that happen.

As for meals, it's BYOL for lunch. For dinner, currently working on having a BBQ meal for everyone.

We'll have water available. Anything else, BYOB

Re: Trail Crawl in Swanzey Oct 5th

Hi, next round is in the works.

Fall trail crawl at Wilder RC Park in Swanzey which is in the Keene area. This is a backyard course with woods trails with lots of roots, rocks and rotten logs which makes for a fun day of crawling. Drivers meeting at 9:30am for 10am start. This is a free event but donations are accepted. Bring your own lunch and stuff.

We do one class based on class 2 with 1.9 wheel 4.75 max tire trucks. We do allow whatever you have and give bonus or penalty points for scale items or oversize tires and stuff. This round we are limiting drivers to one truck as multiple trucks hasn't been working out well for event flow. Bring a friend to drive your second rig!

Drivers are paired up for judging which has worked great and there's not much down time. We'll have two rounds on the three course trail with some changes to the course in between.

Post if you need more info.

It's always good to see what other folks are doing to grow this sport. It continues to get more and more popular all around the world. You live in a great part of the country that has all the makings for a natural crawling event.

So cool to see the rigs and those who built them coming together for these events. High five to Toy City for giving discounts to the participants which helps everyone and supports the local hobby store. Another suggestion would be to reach out to the local media, ie news paper or the area communtity event publication, they are always looking for a story, have them come out and take some pictures and do interviews with the drivers.

Out here in the Phoenix area there are several groups that do GTG (get together's) all the time. Night crawls are the popular thing right now with the heat of summer. There are some nice lighting modifications out there for your rigs. It's a totally different aspect of crawling.

There are some very talented people out here that build some unbelievable rigs and put together amazing G6 competitions complete with scale buildings and other structures to make it realistic. Some of these rigs in the videos and pictures look like the real thing. You have to look real close. Maybe some of you could build something to bring to your events to add to the experience.

Keep up the good work and post some more pictures and maybe a video of your adventures.

Thanks for sharing!
