if you haven't heard, Traxxas - The Fastest Name in Radio Control! | traxxas.com has announced a new release to be announced next week. what will it be? my best his is that it will compete withaxial and hpi's new rig.

any thoughts on what you think it may be?

although traxxas is good at creating new and emerging markets in the rc hobby.... I'm hoping its something new and not another reworked platform.

realistically hey, they offer alot of vehicles, but only a couple of chassis options
the old pede chassis for the rustler and bandit
the stampede chassis
the 4x4 stampede chassis
the summit/revo chassis
and the 1/16th erevo chassis
and 2 boats....

time to come to the table guys! If it is a old chassis with a new body and wheels - the "bashing" may ensue.

It's gonna be a scale crawler. :???:

That's my fear too... I reallllly hope that they don't because deep down in the pit of my soul I know that every little kid who wants a hobby grade RC would be like "MOMMMMMMMMMMM!!!! I WAN'T THE TRAXXAS CRAWLLLLERRRRRR"

But like the others, perhaps it is time for them to release something that is different from everything they have seemed to perpetuate for years.

some quick googling is showing the price to be around $800-$1,000. But that is just what the internets say. So, maybe a 1/5th scale whatever.

"..
Traxxas has something new coming out on the 30th of November 2011! And that’s it really… We don’t know any more! There have been guesses that it could be a 1/5th scale or a 1/8th scale buggy, but nobody is 100% sure. At the rumor price close to $1000 it’s not going to be a 1/16th scale! Personally we are <DEL dateTime=2011-11-23T00:27:20+00:00>leaning towards</DEL> hoping for a 4×4 5th scale!
Other rumor news surrounding the vehicle is that the official Traxxas model number is 6407. "

Revo + stretched Chassis + SC body = 1/5 short course truck. With the brushless motors out there it wouldnt even need to be gas.

If they do something Revo based, I'd hope the would follow Losi's path and upsize the whole thing instead of stretching it out then changing the rolling stock and body.

Its another monster jam replica.....j/k

What ever it is, I'm sure it'll be nice. I've always liked Traxxas trucks and had good luck with them.
