Trump1
Rock Crawler
I made a battery holder for my Jeep Rubicon kit. I figure I might as well make another one for my Jeep G6.

Far out!!!!
If you don't mind me asking, how much have you spent so far and what's your guesstimate on how much it'll cost?
Nice build Trump![]()

The things I could do with that money![]()
I love seeing nice build like that. It give me tones of idea! Props for your work
Spare tire mount:
I have been wondering how to mount a spare tire ever since reading Badger's G6 build.
I wanted to run my Jeep G6 with a spare tire even though in a RECON G6 a spare tire is highly recommended, but not mandatory. Since the G6 didn't come with a spare tire I had to come up with my own method by modifying the cage.
Here's a couple of pictures of the cage before any modifications.

First I made a few cuts to remove the rear part of the cage:

I filed down the cuts:

I inverted the part of the cage that I removed and re-installed it. I filed down the ends so they will be flush against the plate I make to hold the spare tire. Top view:

So now with the cage trimmed I figure I have three (3) options.
Option 1, spare tire on top of the cage (Man! this tire is huge!):

Option 2, spare tire below the cage.

The tire fits pretty snug. I can also use the part of the cage that I removed to further secure the tire. If I go with Option 2, I would trim the holder to look a little better.
Option 3, would be to run without a spare tire. Since mounting a spare tire would change my COG, I could run without a spare.
Anyways, these are the options I came up with for mounting a spare tire. I'm leaning towards Option 2.
To be continued ...
I used to work for Warn, and I gotta say, those winches are 100% accurate in every detail. Love this build! Can't wait to start on mine!
I'm interested in seeing how bright those LED lights are... saw that kit awhile ago haven't seen any pics

I am digging this approach. I keep looking a bumper mounted options, but this is interesting.
