* TTC/KOH Scaler Event @ The Warehouse (November 10th) *

The ridgecrest Chassis in not comp legal... seems like letting the tires slide is one thing... but a comp crawler is another. I'm not out to keep anyone away but you can't expect a comp crawler to go up against an SCX10. Rear steer is legal, but you take a point penalty every time you use it.

However if we want to change the rules to allow comp rigs i'll gladly build one. I'm sure Bigjon wouldn't mind either. LOL

Calling a Ridgecrest a comp rig due to tvp is like calling a ford festiva a race car due to stripes lol

The rules in the first post state that the chassis has to be a rail not a twin plate design. We can be a little flexible with tires but not with the chassis. If this where just a gtg you could run whatever but because this is a scale comp we have to be more strict. So that being said, if you have something to fit the rules please come. If not you are welcome to come by after the comp and play.

What class would my Berg, XR, and AX be in? I can send in parts list. They would be running on rovers, boss claws, and rovers.

Okay I got a serious question. Is there water out there? Not talking about water obstacles I mean a stream or river.

Just ordered a hilux body and 1.9 tsl's for my honcho. Do I need to waterproof everything before the comp?

If I recall there is no water, you should be alright this comp ;) Robert please chime in if I'm wrong. Nice another hardbody out here. Which tsl's? Big or small? Hopefully small with that hilux body;)

Hateful, Thanks for clearing that up for me I couldn't of worded it any better myself! I am sorry that if anyone doesnt meet our rules and guidelines then you cannot compete. It just does not make it fair for the other drivers who put forward the time/money to make their rig legitimate. If you still want to come check out the scene and play around your more than welcome too as well! "thumbsup"

Jon, I know nothing of comp crawler stuff! Please excuse me for I am not too familiar with those rigs or what class they would fall into. :oops: As of the rivers or streams, there is only a small creek in the way back that is not enough room to run an RC boat. There is a small pond about 100ft off from the spot, but very thick with brush and thorns i think. (personally have never walked up to it or checked it out because it looks kinda iffy) If you go to the 1st page and check the Google Maps coordinates/page you can scroll out one click and see the pond right about the course layout!

Everyone, there is one water feature in the King of Hammers course! it is a small 2.5X1FT tub that will be used as a jump for this course. If you really think you have enough skills to jump/submerged it IN that small of space than you probably should go ahead and proof it up.. However my SCX10 has no water-proofing done to it and has survived 2ft deep submerged for a few secs..Then again that just may be luck on my part lol..Hope everyone is as excited as I am!

FYI - WINCHES/SAND LADDERS/PULL-PAL'S MAY BE VERY USUAL FOR SOME OF THE HEAVY RIGS ON THIS TERRAIN..:idea:

ANYONE ELSE DOWN FOR A GREAT TIME & SICK PRIZES?!

Shouldnt be an issue! However I am not the noble one that knows it all.. I just want more people to attend. :ror:

The body must be 5" wide at the doors and must be at least as long as the wheelbase. Those are two requirements i don't think it meets.

Indeed, I have put a good many hours into this! Thanks for the help from everyone so far, I am really excited about this TTC! I got 2 packages in the mail yesterday afternoon with tons of goodies/prizes from our sponsors for the event. They really put together some awesome gifts for us, so it should really be something to look forward to. ONE MORE WEEK FELLAS...

Looks like my 7950 is going to be here today from Hitec. My bec took a crap and sent all 11.1 volts to the servo. Thanks to Hitec for the quick turnaround, it was even out of warranty by about a week and they still fixed it for free!.
