Tuning CI C.I.'s Deuce's Wild Single Stage Closed Cell Foam

Hi, as some people know, i'm french canadian so my english is not as good as it could be...

So i bought 4x C.I.'s Deuce's Wild 2.2 Tall Single Stage Closed Cell Foam for my 2.2 Irok (wraith) and read on CI website that the foam can be tuned to have more foward grip... The problem is that i don't fully anderstand what this means:

"This foam can be adjusted / tuned by the user by removing the O.D. ribbing with scissors to increase forward bite."

O.D = outside diameter.

Ribbing is the four raised lines of foam completely wrapping the outside diameter.

Forward bite is a term used for more traction. In this case it means removing rings / lines of foam to achieve better traction.

take a pair of scissors and cut the ribs out of the front foams...

this will allow the tire carcass to flex more.

just had to do it to my new set on my BFG krawlers.

So if I anderstand correctly, I only remove the outside ribbing completely and leave the 2 middles ribbing intact? Is that it?
No special pattern?

no,start with the inner ribs...

if you need more,cut the outside ribs.
