Just a warning before you guys go out and buy Turnigy Packs for this Truck!!

Bought 2 Turnigy Nano Tech 3S 6000mah Lipos and they are about 7.8mm too big for the battery compartments.

The packs are 48mm wide and the door wont close even if I try and force it:shock:

I cant return the packs so now im going to have to jimmy rig something to keep these packs secure.
Maybe a velcro strap or figuring out a way to extend the door a bit but this is no bueno

Or I guess I could try sell the packs and buy ones that actually fit.
What 3S Lipos are you guys running with no issues?

I have Turnigy 2S 6.0 packs and they only just fit...
(my packs are 46.25mm wide. Length and height are fine)

I sure hope my bias 3s packs and my sky lipo 2s packs will fit.
Have you tried velcro the industrial strength stuff is pretty good.
Also you maybe able to drill a small hole thru the plastic thats supposed to accept the clip. Run a long but small bolt thru there and just use a nylon nut to hold it tight. Just ideas. Good luck.

A buddy of mine zip ties the door shut on certain packs her runs. I think all Axial needs to do is release a wider door as a adjustable battery compartment.

The Trax 3s 5000 is only 42mm wide x 25mm thick

Right now i'm using the new hard case 80c 6400 Reaction Dynamite packs, awesome power for 2s packs. They are 45mm x 24mm and i would say that 45mm wide is about max width to close the door.

Running 3S, 5000mah, 45-90C, 138x42x30mm for hard bashing in open places, made by my local hobby shop in Chile, and 2S SMC factory spec 9400mah, 60-120C, 162x47x29.2mm for long endurance bashing and trails, great duration for the $$

For a quick fix, I would dremel a slot for a velcro strap through the tray door and then just dremel a slot out in the tray itself to slide it through, then just velcro the doors shut in cases like that.
