amazing work but

walk around starts at about 4:45, he talks/tells about the car before that.

2 turbos and a supercharger and only 14lbs of boost? Maybe that's because the turbos are plumbed into the back of the scoop, that opens in the front so all the boost from the turbos is just blowing out the front.

Its a dual charged set up...after so many RPM the turbos out boost the SuperCharger and the Supercharger basically just opens a door to flow the turbo charge into the engine and the supercharger is then just for looks.

Done when idiots can't think how to size turbos to eliminate this claimed lag issue.

14lbs is pretty good on an old school v8 block likely not built to handle more pressures.

What an automotive abortion. A '69 F-body deserves so much better than to be turned into......that.

Good thing he's got a chute and wheelie bars.....for the car shows.

"thumbsup"

When done right, that setup works well.

I kinda expected the owner to act like a douche...surprisingly he seemed pretty modest.

Well the guy said it himself "it's a show car, I have never taken it down the strip"
He also mentioned a twin supercharged Chevy truck that he daily drives???
I will admit it's kinda looks cool but what can you say, OVERKILL!

Understandable, but how does it work with the turbos blowing into a scoop that is open to atmosphere?

That is what I am wondering, surely this thing would perform better with either the supercharger or the turbo and no "NOS" should be necessary. If anything a methonol injection setup w/ the turbos.

As mentioned, it's purely a show car. It gets attention and that's all it can do. I bet it runs like poo. Seriously, it's never been on a dyno so it's likely never been tuned. I guess a car with two turbos, a supercharger, and spray can be tuned by ear. "Just make it lope really heavy so it sounds cool. It'll never do anything but idle anyway." ;-) I bet a reasonably built N/A big block on pump gas would put down more power.

It's what the guy wanted so good for him. I personally would've done things very, very differently. But admittedly, I'm not about flashy appearances.

The turbo intake and the output are both plumbed into the scoop above the carbs. There is no way that they are doing anything but recirculating air.
The 14psi of boost comes from the blower and that's it.
The 200hp shot of nitrous does little more than cool the intake charge. Nothing wrong with that but it'd be smarter to inject it after the blower when the air is hot, not before.

Even the plumbing looks like it was done by someone who knows nothing about turbos with all it's 90 degree bends.

Show cars, ugh.

"Listen haters, we all wish we had a car like this." :lmao:
Only so I could sell it.

dont forget about all the heat created by all the compressing the air x3. no intercooler. although technically the nitrous could help with that.

The intercooler is between the blower and the manifold.

I wish I had that car for sure, I would sell most of it and build a solid car that actually performs with 1/3 of the parts off of it!

Anyone who is impressed by that while at a car show is dumber than the owner, he should run for president!

Everytime I see a blower hanging out of a hood, or lack thereof, a piece of me dies. Pretty soon I'll be like the guy on that skittles commercial, aging as I watch tv...If you want a show car, build a show car. Don't build a "performance show car" because it makes the rest of us look like assclowns. Now, because of these dumbasses, every 8 year old kid assumes that to have a fast car you have to have a chrome blower standing 3 feet tall.

-End rant. Build cool shit, that is all.
