I just locked the diff. on the front and rear yesterday. I put it all back together and all was good. Then all of a sudden the Left front wheel is freewheeling. When I look inside the carrier,it looks like the part that the end of the axle slides into is missing. Are these made of plastic, in all the diagrams it shows the stub axle and this piece to be one unit. Possibly could the axle have twisted off ?
Thanks,
Raz

OK, put it this way. The axle shaft still spins when under throttle but the wheel does not spin. the piece that connects to the end of the axle inside the carrier looks like it is miining.
Does this help ?
BTW: Everything is stock

idont know but what about the wheel hub there only plastac and gaet twist fairly easy. there is also a croos pin the keeps the hub from spinning on the shaft, that couldve fallen out.
do u mean the axle stub?

do you mean the shaft thats inside the axle case?
if so then you either need a new one or your bearings came out,

Im betting that he is missing the little cross pin that engages in the stub axle cup. . .

The axle is spinning, the wheel is bolted on, and no power transfter from the axle to the stub axle.

pics would be really helpful. but it sounds like you twisted the ball of the axle shaft off or you twisted the part of the hub that it rides in off. that what it sounds like to me. i know i have gone throw a few sets of the shafts, i keep twisting the ball ends off.

WOW. i don't know how the tire is staying in there. It looks like you snaped the end of your hub off, but that wouldn't make much since because if so the whole thing (tire and all) should fall right out of the hub carrier.

I wonder if you can put a TLT CVD stub shaft in a WK axle? Much stronger....
