g'day all, I bought a second TXT that has a super rooster, 60t eagle racing motor ( single ), 8 tooth pinion gear, sanwa dash saber 2Ch stick radio, 4ws with high torqe servos, 40 s Moabs on weld beadlocks & coldweld difflocks. My problem is it strugles to crawl, it wont even climb perioid. when runing on flat ground it strugles at full steering lock, almost stopping, it also glitches alot. I swaped in an Integgy 55t lathe motor but had no improvment. I've been running it with my Vennom racing 1800 7.2 batts which have deans plugs on them. so thats the setup, why wont it crawl ? Oh & the batts are fine, they run my other TXT crawler no probs.
any thoughts on the problems & sugestions to which motor & batt combo goes best with the rest of the electrics greatly apreciated. take it easy guys, Leigh

Have you tried using a receiver pack? Maybe it's your 4 wheel steering on one channel? Just an Idea......

Is it your gearing?

Sounds to me like your drivetrain is binding somewhere. That 8T pinion might not be meshed correctly (too tight). Take it out a see if the truck rolls easy without it. If it does then the rest of the drivetrain is fine, then just reinstall the motor and set the mesh. If not trace where its binding (trans or axles) by removing the driveshafts. If that doesn't solve the problem then its the ESC or your radio equipment.

check for binding somewhere first, dont worry about tearing it down its a pretty high dollar heavy rig. its good to do it anyway from time to time....
but i would definately do a rec pack, you can see mine sitting on the rear links"thumbsup" no mo steering issues.....

My TXT's had to be geared down more than that to crawl, may not be your issue but may be part of it.
