U4RC Rock Racing Series info and update thread.

Mike it appears that you have pretty wide hubs on that. Can't you bring the width in by changing the hubs? We didn't want to see cars with a track width the same or close to the wheelbase, like a track car. It isn't scale. The other problem is, the Glen Helen track isn't all that wide and super wide cars are going to have a hard time passing. Which means they will either be running over, or getting run over, by other cars. It isn't fair if a faster driver cant make a pass because of the front cars extreme width.

I received this text. I asked another driver to measure his and this is what he said...There does not appear to be a reason that the Exo can't meet the width rule. But again we will find a spot for everyone.

hey! its stock but the wb is 13 3/8. and its 12" wide with my rc4wd rims and 13 wide with rpm rims

I have to run those because the rim won't clear the steering knuckle on ether 2.2 or 1.9 rim. Yes its stupid wide. I just don't like the 2.0/3'' rims. I was just talking to Rich Bolts, he works around the corner from me. He told me what he did, so I might think about doing what he did but I would like to run scale alum wheels that's all. Rules are rules......I do see your points though.

I really don't need to worry about someone passing me....I'll be in the front "thumbsup" Lol....

Nobody will be turned away as long as it is not a "track" car, like a 4wd sc truck. This is scale desert rock racing. :)
Ok sounds good. So these rules are like G6 rules. A long list of what should be done until you get there and none are essentially followed.:lmao:
Or more so Guide Lines than Rules."thumbsup"

F.......YEA baby!!! I got 2.2's on and its 12.5'' wide "thumbsup" I'm coming for yea, Rich Bolts.......hahaha

I've not seen one of these before and I'm really looking forward to this next one. Plus it looks like most of the guys are people that I've crawled with before so thats a bonus to.

So how many batteries ami gonna need for racing? I have two but I have a feeling I may need more

This is hard to answer not knowing your rig, motor, battery size etc...

My setup is roc412 3100, RS, and 2200 3s. If I remember right, I use between 500 and 600mah per heat race. In the mains I think I used 1000.

As the track changes so will the lap times. It is getting longer.

I have 2 packs and I feel that is plenty if I recharge them right after a heat.

I took out my 412/3100 from my TH and went to a Tekin 10.5 and I think it runs better. Bry what gearing are you running with yours. My exo has a rx8 with a pro4 4000 but this weekend it was running hot with the 2.2's on it, might have to geart down.

A BIG thanks to RCP Crawlers!.....

They have informed us they are bringing out sandwiches, chips and water for lunch. Make sure you thank them personally and toss some $$ in the donation jar if you have it.....
