I can't remember the last time I was this exited about a UFC PPV. This one is loaded, I can't wait to see what happens. So, there are 3 big fights that I am particularly interested in.

1st: Mir vs Lesnar 2

I don't really care for Brock Lesnar. I don't not like him, I just think he is over rated and didn't deserve the title shot when he got it. Mir has had a long comeback and personally I am ready to see him with the belt again since he never really lost it to begin with. Top that with the fact that he has already beaten Lesnar once and he was the first man to stop Nogueira. After seeing his stand up against Nogueira I pick Frank Mir by knockout this time.

2nd: Pierre vs Alves

I don't like Pierre at all. Alves walked through Matt Hughes along with just about everyone else. I think it will be an even fight, one of those that if it doesn't end in the first 10 minutes it will go the full 5 rounds. I think Alves will win by KO.

3rd: Henderson vs Bisping

What can I say other that Bisping is a tool, he is overconfident and full of himself. Hammil beat his ass, if he had stood with Leaben he would have beat his ass as well. I don't think he will be able to run from Henderson. Nothing is going to make me happier than seeing him and a half a dozen cartoon birds flying in circles over his head. Hendo will bring it to him and knock him out or tko for sure. Henderson by a mile.

Also there is Jon Fitch and Paulo Thiago, personally I like Fitch but after Thiago's last fight I think he is carrying the momentum into the ring to win, he sure is ugly though.

What do you guys think?

Lesnar-Mir...I dont really care for either of them. I dont know what it is but I really dont like mir I want lesnar to win out of them by some good ground and pound.

Pierre-Alves... Ive never watched alves fight but i agree with you on its gonna be either a quicky or full 5 rounds. I think pierre will pull it off.

Henderson-Bisping... I also agree with you on bisping he is a tool. Hammil got screwed in that fight. I think Henderson is going to dominate the fight

thats what i think lol

I hope Mir walks thru him. I agree that it awesome to see Mir coming back to, or actually better than when he was champ.

Pierre will have his hands full, but I don't really have a care about this fight. It should be a good one though.

Here again, I agree with the others. I can not stand Bisping, and this last UF made that feeling even worse. I just hope Henderson brings his game and knocks his block off!!

Fitch for the win, but it won't be an easy fight for him.

alves is good, but i cant see him taking pierre, imo pierre is one of the best fighters in mma, and i can see him taking it by ko, his skilla are second to none, and is simply one of the greatest. .. . as for mir and lesnar, i think lesnar is a doosh, that has had no fight worth talking about up til now, mir is good, but not as good s he used to be imo, but its nice to see him trying to get back to the top. that one i could see mir taking it, and as far as henderson and bisping i have always been a henderson fan and could see him taking it in an early round. .. .

im only watching in hopes that lesner gets his ass tapped out again... dana is a money hungry bizzitch.

i know of plenty of fighters that have had a better record (1-1) and deserved to fight for the belt before he should have. and his action after winning his fight against heith herring shows the kind of person he really is and he doesnt deserve it. i dont care how great of an athlete he is..... ROIDS:?

MIR is gonna make that bg biatch cry again! i don't care if brock can beat the snot outa someone! pierre is at the top of his game, henderson's gonna be back on, and fitch is gonna beat that biatch,(tryin to make it rhyme but gotta keep it clean!

I think Brock will win this time. MIR is limited in ending it (I doubt anyone can choke out Brock or any arm submissions)...He's either got KO or leg subs...or he becomes Tim Sylvia and punches and hugs for points. I do think Mir has a great chance to repeat his previous win though.

Anyone beating GSP is a good thing. Tired of that guy...and his attitude. Wonder if his corner guy will AGAIN apply vaseline to his neck, shoulders and back (he's done it against Hughes and Penn).

Bisping is a mouthy turd. I doubt he has a chance against Henderson.

Did anyone even watch Mir in his last fight????? His stand up is probably the best in the heavyweight division right now. Nogueira has fought Cro Cop in his prime, and Fedor as well as every other great heavy weight out there and Mir crushed him standing. If Fedor and CroCop couldn't knock him out, why would anyone else in the HW division do it? The Brandon Vera TKO was ring rust.

Wasn't into UFC until a couple of months ago. Doodoob locally got me into it. So far I have just been observing. Don't know really enough to make an educated decision.

I am really enjoying the matches so far.

I got in a fight with a guy that was a UFC Fighter once. Of course we were in about the 3rd or 4th grade. Used to live next door to him.

Dude, anybody see Mir in the top 100 show?

looked like he broke an orbital or something on his right eye. looks like freegin quasi moto lol.

Go Mir, Go Alvez ( i got no love for the French, even if theyre the Canada kind) and go Henderson.

Kami, I gave credit to Mir on stand up, but lets be honest it's hard to block Brock's huge fists...ask Couture.

I think Mir's best chance is another leg sub.

Pierre is at a huge disadvantage now, remember, the UFC has regulated the use of vasaline to just the cut men.........

I vote for Fedor Emelianenko to come in and whomp every one of them...including Dana White. "thumbsup"

Vaseline had no effect on the destruction of BJ Penn.

I disagree, as do many others. GSP's team has violated it in 2 major fights, the latest BJ Penn fight as well as the Hughes fight. The Penn fight they even stopped and there was a small discussion regarding it, Dana White has made comments regarding it and how the cornerman clearly did illegal actions. After that "break" BJ tried more than once for a Triangle and slid off everytime.

were the hell is Fedor?

August 1, 2009 fighting against Josh Barnett. Affliction again.
