Ultimate "Axial" transmission build

Jimmy, you have your spur gear on backwards :D! The slipper pads sit inside the groove in the spur gear. Flip it around and you should be good (you'll also be able to put your pinion gear further back on your motor shaft). Make sure you use the spring and nut from the Traxxas rebuild kit.

They make the 4x4 version in both a 54 and 56t version. Doesn't matter which you get, as long as it's the 4x4 version.

Ecoli If that is correct ...Then scan and post the instruction

There are TWO different versions, and they are NOT interchangeable ..how do I know that ! !

The RRP spur use the bearing to hold it in place ... you can't push the bearing all the way through ...Right

If you mount it the other way around, it might not seat properly due to the raised lib on the front
And then there is nothing to hold it in place ...unless you use a big spacer that press on the spur and not just the bearing ....

what was the total cost for this mod in parts "thumbsup" ..........bob

....

Too much  Well over $250 if I remember correctly, not including shipping.

Just stock revo shafts and ends the the 8 mm outputs any partnumbers for shafts?

Not revo shafts, but the Maxx shafts. I don't have a part number handy, but yeah, 8mm outputs. Most lhs's should have the yokes and shafts in stock, the various maxx trucks are pretty popular "thumbsup"

Hey Ecoli, I ordered the 4x4 slipper unit and i don't think it was the right one Bro. It doesn't look like yours

Here's a pic of what yours looks like. Are there two different ones for the 4x4 Slash based on the if you want a 54t or 56t spur?

Sorry I didnt catch this earlier

Its the 2WD that you want
Not the 4X4 version you have shown above

RR Part number #7856

Also................

Robinson Racing had a "Miss-labeled" batch of Slippers go out
About 1000 of them so watch what you buy

I actually am the one that caught it (as I ordered 40 of them last month)

I called RR to let let them know
The problem is now corrected and the correct slippers are in the correct packaging and shipping

You should get a refund or replacement if you tell the Place you bought it from

Regards Rick
