I realizes there are already several other USPS rant threads but I am really aggravated and need to vent...

Rant number 1... I sold 2 pairs of Bruiser axles to a guy over in germany. I shipped them USPS priority mail in the small flat rate box. When shipping in this box you cannot get any form of delivery confirmation, all you get is the customs number. Well, the customer didnt receive the Cs after nearly 4 weeks so I had to refund him his 100$ + shipping because I have no way of proving to Pay pal that they were mailed because there is no delivery confirmation  Plus I cant even see if the guy did get them and is just jerking me  When I called USPS after screaming into the automated phone system and finally got someone on the phone they told me they cant tell me anything about the customs number...so why the hell do they have it!!?? so now I am out a 100$+ that I had already spent plus 2 sets of Bruiser axles Cs

Rant number 2...I buy a set of 5 Subaru key lanyards. The guys mails them priority and after a week of not getting them I check the DC number and it says they were delivered  O really? to where? Not at my house...not in the mail box, not at the PO box just GONE. When I went there they can't even tell me if they delivered them to the PO box or to the house even though with my PO box listed 1st that is where its suppose to go to. Talk to my mail carrier, she is so fat and stupid she can't remember anything about any packages or anything. End result, seller feels bad and ships me 2 new ones out of the 5

Rant number 3 ... I buy some some tt01 aluminum red drift parts off ebay. they mail 1st class and were suppose to be delivered on the 25th...on the 28th it says they are still departing the Bethpage NY facility  call USPS and I get some BS how its not guaranteed to be there by day X but if longer then 5 days I can open a case... ITS BEEN 5 DAYS!! O so you want to open a case?? YESSSS!!! Check back at the PO the other day and the post master tells me they contacted him and that the parcel has been lost :evil: contact ebay seller, no insurance so once again I am SOL

and lastly rant number 4....my Skyline body that I have been waiting for showed up today and this is how they hand me the box at the counter

Are you FAWKIN KIDDING ME!!??? they tell me to open to see if its damaged and then come back in...

outside to the subaru I crack the box open and its WRECKED. I go back inside and they are like O yeah no insurance SORRY...

Here is what the body looks like

I contacted ABC Hobby and they are hooking me up and sending me a new but of course its on back order...can't even win at loosing these days...

I just dont understand, these assholes can destroy the packages or loose the mail but if you dont pay for insurance its like O tough shit buddy...That is BS! Its your damn job to safely delivery the package you scum bags! If I went to work and accidentally let an inmate escape I can't tell the warden or sheriff "woops, sorry, hey did we have insurance coverage against this escapee?" I would be ****ing fired in heart beat and these assholes just go about their day like nothing happened

/end rant

Damn, that doesn't make me feel any better. I paid a guy March 17th ($190) for an item and it still hasn't shown up. I mean he didn't ship it until the 23rd :x but still. Tracking number says Expected Delivery By March 31st. Yeah well that didn't happen. The last thing the tracking number says is Processed at USPS Origin Sort Facility in California on March 27th.

No delivery confirmation? Your fault for choosing that method. You can in fact get a delivery confirmation but its normally only good until it leaves the good ol' USA, though I did ship something to Switzerland and the DC worked all the way to the guys door.

No insurance? Again, that is between you and the buyer.

But yeah, its sucky that you have to buy insurance. Why pay someone extra to do their job right or at the very least to get compensation when they don't?

Last package I sent to Canada was some berg parts to Rob@ KK. It was a flat rate box as well. They would not do a delivery confirmation number just a customs forms number. Hell it took two weeks, started to worry a bit. Maybe just the flat rate packages?!?

Our great government. Hmmm why is the post office hurting so bad and need to close all these locations

The last box I sent to Canadia took a while too. Long enough to make me nervous, but the other guy wasn't worried and in time it arrived.

Maybe it is just the flat rate boxes. IIRC the one I sent overseas wasn't one. Still wasn't very large though...just big enough to hold my Concept to Crawler chassis. Took under a week too...

Aw man, I am having a HPI Baja 5b coming in and it was shipped by USPS. I better not find one scratch. And its coming from Guantanomo Bay, all the way to here in Kansas!!! Thats one long trip.

I bought a holster from a guy which he shipped out from Colorado via USPS Priotrity Mail the morning of 3/31.(Saturday) I go out to my mailbox today (Monday 4/2) here in PA at 11:30am and saw the box with the holster in it nestled nicely in the front of the mailbox. USPS is bunch of bastards.:ror:

Sounds like over-night shipping. They probably take more care of the stuff that gets over-nighted.

I have had pretty good luck with them. My buddy works for them and said a lot of the mishaps happen because they want everything scanned electronically.
So they did away with the in town box now it goes an hour away to come back to the same place a day or two later. I have had 2 packages get here in 2 days from Utah that were shipped late in the evening. I think insurance is our best friend in this hobby. Prices for USPS versus UPS are way cheaper with faster delivery. UPS even uses USPS to deliver a lot of their packages to save money now.

I don't ship anything without insurance if its worth more than $30, and I don't ship anything worth more than $10 without a DC #.

UPS automatically insures packages for $100, and provides you with a tracking number. Neither of which you have to pay extra for.

Nope. Priority Mail box, Priority Mail on the shipping label. I've had items super fast sent Priority Mail before. Several times when ordering from TCS."thumbsup"

It is still half price through USPS though at least from here, and when I lived in Virginia Beach.

And faster..

I always pick priority mail over UPS.. Hell UPS tears up the packages worse takes longer and costs more.. I will never ever willing pick UPS they suck.

Fed Ex by far does a better job then either of them..

They had to replace a door that was like 600 bucks for my parents. They placed the package between the screen door and regular door and the screen door was custom and got messed up bad.
