I am running Proline's 4-door chevy Silverado body and I want to cut out the bed area and make an actual scale bed for the body. In order to do this I would have to run leaf spring because I don't want the shock towers in the middle of the bed. I am hoping to get a pair of vanquish currie axles for Christmas and I wanted to know if I can run a leaf spring setup only on the rear axle. Can I use a leaf spring mounting kit that is meant for the stock scx10 axles or is vanquish going to come out with a leaf spring mount for their axles.

Any info or advice would be appreciated

Thanks!

You could use the dinky R/c cantilever kit and get a flat area to mount the floor as well possibly.

I have been curious about running leaf springs with Currie axles. I haven't scrutinized it much, but maybe you can fabricate a leaf spring mount. Take a look at this leaf spring mount, if you can use it or fabricate something similar.

I hope this helps in some way.

I think I might try the dinky rc cantilever system as it will provide me more articulation than leaf springs yet allow me to build a drop bed for the body that rests on the frame rails.
