What are peoples thoughts on the Vaterra Raptor Ford SVT Short Course?

Every time i look at it makes me want to buy one, deffiniatley a good looking rig.

I was toying up between this and the traxxas Slash 4x4, and ended up getting a 2nd hand Slash with a few mods.

Was a bit concerned with the parts availability on the Vaterra, as there seems to be hardly anything written on it?!

They seem like decent trucks and thenspur gear/slipper assembly is easier to access than on the Traxxas 4x4 chassis, I would consider the the Vaterra universal bones of the MIP HD CVD's and the Robinson Racing slipper kit though. Just be for warned, to replace the outputs from the diffs, you have to blow the diffs apart as well as dig through what felt like a small tub of Vasoline once you cracked the diffs open.

I would imagine the smaller tires place a lot less load on the diffs than the bigger ones of the monster truck.

It's a really good looking truck, just seemed a bit high priced to me until the last price drop. Now it's not too bad at all - especially with the AVC unit.
