What tire will fit these rim besides the stock tires?? I have flat irons, I'm looking at comp claws, and hammers(they are on clearance at my lhs). Please post any tires that have been fitted to these rims.
I've mounted Rock claws, Hammers and Goofy stock Cliff climber tires ... you just have to take your time seating them and making sure they stay seated. Chisels don't work, they WILL pull out, they will shift and suck arse. Haven't tried Rovers but maybe one day.
Obviously the venom tires work the best though, they do have a new tire with a softer compound ... I just relegated my stock wheels and tires to basher duty.
I've got Chisels mounted to mine and haven't had an issue yet.. I've only run them for a few hours on our comp course the other day though.
I do have no weight in the rears and the heavy Venom wheel weights in the front.. That gives me almost 16oz per front tire, which I think is a bit excessive.. I'm taking the weights down to 7.5 oz front and putting 4 oz in the rears.
Snowed all weekend here but I'm hoping the comp course will be dry enough to run on this weekend..
Honestly rovers are pointless were I live (big rock course that's here can be dominated with hammers with ease). Plus I don't care for the look of them(prefer the look of comp claws). When I crawl it's more like rock racing. If I can't ease up the climb I'm quite fine with hitting it with speed. I really enjoy the trail runs more then full crawling.
