Volvo S70 Wagon

Everything is wired up and checked. Put a battery to it and had no issues. Settings adjusted with Castle Link. Down to just LED's and roof rack.

Well, you got to me.
You pushed me to build onto mine. I am installing a bulldog winch on a modified dingo front bumper. I had to add brass extension tube to mount the bumper and add a support bracket that goes through the license plate.
I am going with a rescue type theme because I have been sitting on a flasher light kit for months. I wanted to do a police vehicle, but never built one. So I will just use it for the caution orange lights.

when I built mine, I just kinda slapped it together........your rig almost makes me feel embarrassed !

We have the only 2 that I know of, so I'm ok with it.

Well, you got to me.

That's what happened to me. I see other people doing things to their rigs, and it pushes me to do better. I feel like each build I learn something new.
The end result of this thing is pretty close to what was in my head. At one point I thought a stock looking 4x4 would look good. That's why I was trying to use the MTZ's. In the end it just would work with those axles. I'm glad it didn't, this is much closer to my original idea.
Down the road I'd like to use another one of the bodies and build a monster truck. I keep checking eBay for a good deal, but they seen to go up in price.
I'll be glad to finish this thing. Ready to get it out.

Lights in the Volvo. Still have to cut the mounting tabs off the lens and glue them in place. Getting close to putting the interior back in.

Killer build!! I gotta say I'm disappointed though. I've had the same body on the shelf for 8 months. I had this weird idea that I would be the only guy to sport a barbie Volvo in class 1 but I guess not :( Mine will have way less detail though(no patience) and have 4wheel independent suspension!

Thanks.

I think the body is too cool. I think it won't hit class 1. I don't have enough tire coverage.
I like seeing the odd rigs, and I love wagons. Let me know when you start building.

As soon as my rack shows up I can finish this up.

Will do! All my build time lately has been dedicated to creating a few new products. As soon as I get my chassis and tcases on the market, I can go back to building for fun!

I've not done any true field testing, but I switched the GR7 pinion to a 12t from the 10t. I wasn't happy with the mesh of the 10t. The 12t has a much better mesh, and the driveline feels much smoother now. I feel like this will work better. Can't wait to finally hit the road.

Got tired of waiting on the Pro-line roof rack. Did a bit of hunting and found this; Torque RC Cargo Roof Rack. Dimensions are right on for the Volvo, and it'll be here next week. :)
Last part to being able to call this build done.

Ordered new tires. Switching to 1.55 Rock Crushers. About 10mm shorter than the Rocky Country. Hoping this will help with turning clearance.
