W.Pa.C Scale Crawler Guidlines

Leaf is singular and leaves is plural...
...only when looking at trees!

No true off-roader ever calls his leafs, leaves...you know that, Scout-man!

When you buy a suspension lift, do they ask you if you want blocks or re-arched leaves? No, it's blocks or leafs!

What's the difference between the Bruiser and High-lift leafs?

I'm thinking rear leafs with either coils or 4-linked front for the Bronco.

im going to be getting som pics up at the end of the week. all my tools and parts are with hazzy.

im building a 94 jeep grand cherokee scaler.

So what is everyone shooting for in their scalers?

I'm guessing they are going to be more for general trail running and mudding than rock crawling?

I'm wondering how fast of a motor I'll have to use with the R2 to get some wheelspin...think a 65 turn will do anything?

You guys remember this day...

Oh yeah...I think that was one of the last runs you did ;-)

I would think you would want to go for more wheel spin with low end grunt. Maybe 35 or 45T with lots of Volts...

Bird...that is from September...Don't remember winning that one. Wonder if I have any old Lottery Tickets out there...

i know... i told you at Yorkville Dam that i had cursed your name when you won those... and you were like "huh? i didn't win any rings..."

Who has a steady hand I need to bore out the inputs on the axles so I can put the pins into them.....

Bingo, the stumpy thingy that the driveshaft attaches to on the axles... thats my simplified version because I am not sure of the correct terms, LOL

That would be the pinion shaft,

that is attached to the pinion gear,

that rotates the ring gear (on the differential),

that rotates the axle shafts,

that rotates the wheels.

That's the basic layout of the rear ends.

I didn't want to tear my axles apart to drill them so i did them a different way. I attached the stock drive cups to the shaft and then used Maxx shafts.

Click the link in my SIG to see.

i am currently in the middle of a failed attempt at shaving the tailights off of a D.E. Silverado. i think i am going to go back to the tailights. i can't seem to get the corner radius right on something that small. plus i am going to put it on top of a bruiser/AX-10 hybrid. i'll have some pics of it this weekend...
