I've been watching a Walking Dead marathon that I recorded and started thinking. Do you notice that most of the "kills" occur eat 25 feet or less? And the weapons they all use?

.357/.44 Mags - really? Big boom, big recoil, only 6 to 8 shots
.45 ACP - my favorite personal weapon buy again, really? See above
12 gauge - see above, plus spread above and below head level
ARs in general - great choice as long as the anno lasts but still loud

I keep waiting for someone to pull out a Kel-Tec PLR-22 and go to town. High Velocity hollow point brain scramblers out to about 50 feet and accurate beyond that. Closest I have seen is Darrel on Walking Dead with his crossbow.

I think I would arm up with a Hi Cap 9mm for the hard kills, probably a Beretta or a Sig as I prefer single/double action guns. Add a Kel-Tec KSG for crowd control and a PLR-22 in my hand for close in work.

Can you tell how bored I can in retirement? Damn I need to go back to work.

I've always thought a .22 with a high capacity magazine would be the daily carry of choice while a bigger caliber, such as .45 would be used for emergencies. Also, a sniper could really put in work and take out lots of zombies.

No guns for me , I want stealth since I'm a big boy and can't run that fast."thumbsup":lmao:

^^This, a couple of good knives, and an axe can get a lot done quietly. Although so can a supressed .22LR, and you can carry a shitload of ammo too.

Good luck finding a shitload of that ammo.

It's pretty easy, I walk out of one room, and into another. Seriously though, a lot of people will also be dumbasses initially when things go down, so there will be scavenging going on for their ammo also.

yeah a sword IS the way to go, no running out of ammo which i'm sure you will at some point....she made it how long on her own with no gun "thumbsup" ....
swords and knives are best used against smaller numbers. Larger herds create a cardio issue for the survivors that zombies do not have.

So where do you live again ? I agree, if some huge catastrophy like Zombies were to happen people would be killing each other for supplies faster than the Zombies would. It would boil down to living in a remote area with a metric ton of can goods and ammo. But from the way this season is going so far that wouldn't gaurauntee your survival. I'm curious as to how the disease is spreading on TWD. Water, crops, animals or airborne. Didn't they say in one season they said everyone had the disease and that you would turn just from dying? Maybe season two?

Rule #1, cardio :lmao:

Ha ha, I'm in the mountians. Fresh water, lots of elevated positions and ravines / gorges to bring back native american hunting techniques. Also, lots of fresh game provided they don't turn zombo and start hunting us, that would suck. If you could survive the initial shit storm of folks killing each other off, and had a good group or people that had a purpose within the group, you might make it for a pretty good while. I don't remember the details on the disease honestly.

yeah, dont remember what season, before they got the prison though.
gpt to be from the bites to though,
a bite on the arm not gonna kill ya though

There is a flu like sickness going around. People are dying from the symptoms and turning into zombies after dying. They sickness does not automatically turn them into zombies.

Yup. I remember seeing in one of the first 2 seasons that everyone was infected and that you turned after being bitten or just dying. Herscel said they aren't dying from the "flu" but from the symptoms. So maybe the zombies are passing on some sort of sickness. Rick noticed in the first episode of season 4 that some Zombies looked different and had blood coming out of their eyes, nose and mouth and it wasn't from eating. They showed the ground close up twice in that episode when he was figuring all that out. Maybe the maggots/worms/etc are carrying it to the ground and then the food? Maybe thats why the pigs caught it, from eating rotten food left over. Maybe the water? the was a episode in season 2 or 3 where they found a walker in the well and talked about him contaminating the water if being left in there.
