i want to buy a camera thats small enough to fit in my pocket comfortably and strong enough to survive a few drops and also be waterproof. i dont want to spend a fortune on a camera so i guess what im asking is whats the best deal for your money? so far i found a SAMSUNG HMX-W200 thats around $130. anyone own one of these? or know of a better camera? what are you guys using? thanks for any help

here's a small sample video i found of it going into a fountain i think.

i like that it doesnt need a case like the Gopro and has an LCD screen.

I know a couple people with Kodak Playsports and they like them. I know Kenworthit uses a Lumix DMC-series waterproof camera, but I can't remember which model. I know it takes great shots.

I just got the Kodak Playsport's little cousin, the waterproof Mini HD for 40 bucks WITH a 2GB mircoSD card included. So far so good, but I haven't really tested the quality. It says 720p but doesn't truly seem to record in that format. But hey, 40 bucks is worth a shot to me. Not bad for a secondary camera or one to use at the beach and not worry about sand.

Well, it is not the most budget minded choice, but check out the Olympus Stylus Tough. There are 3 models. I have taken underwater pictures with them in salt water and taken it in the shower to wash it off after. Picture quality is awesome, and it is water / drop / shock, dust, sand and idiot proof.

Also the Gopro HD Hero is awesome.

I love my go pro hero hd.
Takes awesome video. Mounts anywhere and is pretty much indestructable.

Edit: Oh, i didn't see you already made your choice.

I've got a pre HD 5mp wide angle Go Pro and love it for on board stuff, I've run it in the snow and rain using the suction cup mount without an issue too!
