Weird handling Bronco

I shortened the shock’s throw by about 1,5 to 1,8cm by way of inserting very stiff short springs ùnder the piston. Had some left from a desert lizard set, and they fit quite nicely in the alu bodies of the Bronco’s shocks. It fixed a lot of the torque twist, while leaving some leeway when extending/over extending.

Stock the Bronco rode way too high for my taste. Hence the shortening. That it also partially fixed the twist, was a bonus.

Edit: And, Yes, a heavy 5000mah pack in the rear makes it twist worse than when you use, say, a small 2200mah on the little shelf in the middle of the chassis.

Ar44 knuckles should fit ar45. The only thing still lacking for the Ar45 are the chubs but think ssd had some at one time.

Still on the hunt for aluminum ar45 straight housings.

Scope RPP Hobby's site. They carry SSD stuff. If they're out of anything, they also restock fairly quickly, and will email you as soon as they're restocked.
Think I've found an answer to adjusting these stock 100mm shocks by adding 8mm internal limiters and refilling with 50w oil front and rear. Move the bottom shock mounts outboard with a 3mm spacer. Replace the 70mm stock axial springs with the "white" Injora 60mm springs for the rig at stock weight with a small amount of preload added. Still using the stock wheels but did fit 9mm hex hubs.

Still has lots of flex without any twisting up, side hills like it's a different rig and torque steer is massively reduced.

Still does wheelies, but now in a straight line :lmao:

I've spent the last week now tuning and testing these shocks with this setup and won't be changing anytime soon ... thought I could chime in
on this post now "thumbsup"
