What? A YetiXL?

Heard about the Yeti XL but didn't realize how massive it was until I saw it over the weekend at my local HT. They had at least 3 in stock and a demo sitting next to a Traxxas Summit. It made the Summit look small (which used to be the biggest truck they had in the store). I gave the XL a good look over and I am in love with it. Now to figure out how to budget $700. lol Sell current R/C trucks? Hell no! Tell the wife to skip Xmas and my birthday for me for this year and maybe next? Not a bad idea!

Will definitely be checking out everyone's threads and this baby! ;)

I'm gonna ask so....for those that have bought one of these, is it worth the 700?
I'm about to pull the trigger on one.
I've been reading other threads too and also see some issues people are having out of the box.
if I'm right when/if I get one I need to install all shims even if I'm running 4s and maybe heavy up the weight ( oil) on the rear shocks.
any other advise I would be greatful.

also! has anyone thought of a putting a truck body on this...I'm thinking trophy truck.

Read through the threads in this section. I like mine a lot, and went into some detail in my thread. If you've got the space, it's pretty hard not to smile.

No regrets. Love this truck. 10 packs in with 0 mods and I enjoy the f**k outta it. Eventually though I want to put 500k diff oil in

3rd pack through, over 3 hours of bashing, trailing, and crawling. Before the second pack went in: 30wt shock oil in rear shocks, topped up the front shocks, 500k in the rear diff, 200k in the front diff and greased all the gears. VERY worth the time and effort, HIGHLY recommended!!! Now it goes up 60-65ish degree inclines (FOFF style or crawling without a hitch, as long as those tires get some bite and you keep a steady trigger finger ;-)). Loving every second of it, my last run was four hours ago and I still can't wipe the stupid smile off my face. "thumbsup"

Got a stronger and faster steering servo on the way. Now just wishing for a stiffer steering rack...
