What Do You Call These Types Of Gears?

..........or what applications do you know they were installed on?

I know I have run across these in the past, but can't remember what vehicles they were in right now. This is one set I have now, but I need to find a set with a larger diameter and a bit longer than these are. But for my research, I have no idea if there is a technical name for this type of gear setup.

If you know what they are called, or other applications that used them, please let me know.

Thanks

Those were used in the King Cab, that much I know. But one outdrive shaft was longer than the other. They weren't both the same like that photo.

Splines are the common name for "them", though technically they aren't gears.

I agree with Mad Scientist, they look like diff outdrives. TL-01 maybe?

Yes, they are splined output shafts (Tamiya XC), but is there a name or type that fit together in the slip style shown above? IE, the shaft of one shaft slides into the shaft of the other shaft?

Sorry, should have clarified that earlier.........

spline'd shafts, except for a couple theyr on every tamiya with indipendant suspension. if it didnt use a spline shaft it was round with 2 opposing flat spots on it. as far as tamiya units go i think theyr all the same size in diamter and length.
