retail $1000.00:lmao:its a cheap China made rig. for the $300.00 asking price you can get something WAY better. dont waste your cash if it breaks good luck finding parts.

Lol 1000$ , that's funny.
How about 1million dollars muahhhhhahahaha !

HSP is barely a hobby grade RC and probably beneath the likes of the Redcats and ACME trucks out there. IMO - save a couple more $ and invest in a RC4WD or Axial rig. Spares are everywhere as opposed to the HSP's which are probably difficult to get replacement parts for when it breaks.........and it will break!!!

that's what I thought, just kinda hoped it wasn't cause i like bigger rc trucks. the axials are nice but kinda small to me.

and yeah they just put the retail there to make you think that you're getting a good deal lol.

thanks guys

If you want bigger there are a couple of 1/8 scale crawlers. I know Gmade has 1 and I believe Redcat as well. If I had to choose from them I would say Gmade personally but just barely

Like the above posts, they lure you in with a bunch of nice features but parts are hard to come by. You also pry won't see a locl hobby store with one

^^Good point!!^^ You should go to the LHS and see what or who they stock parts for and buy based off of how easy it will be to get parts for those type rigs from the LHS.

NO-WAY....go to nitrorcx.com and check out the 1/8 scale Exceed Maxstone crawler for only $189.00 RTR....Not a bad crawler cause I have one.."thumbsup"
by the way..if you look at the picture ,,they both look almost alike.GOLD?

to me they both look the same vehicle. which one is copied by which though? almost the same length, width, heigth....

anyways, it looks interesting enough, idk about the price though, i mean 189$ for a 1/8 crawler is pretty cheap. are they reliable stock or you need to dump in 300$ before it's considered capable? I know tires are gonna need to go and I'll definitely add 4WS but other than that?

thanks for the comments. if there is a maxstone section I'll thumb through it myself also.

Yea, I'd stray away from the max stone 8. Main reason is you cant replace what you break.
I've watched 2 of them turn into parts trucks from one of the three cheap plastic gears in the tranny breaking

Exceed - Redcat - ACME - all light years away from a RC4WD or Axial. Remember you get what you pay for!! If you are a noob and want to jump in to the addiction head first invest in the right type of product. Investing in the crap grade rc vs the gold grade RC will determine if you get hooked or go to rehab with an empty wallet.

that's exactly the kind of answer I wanted to hear, someone who saw them break. thanks, still looking for a used axial, got a few in-line close-by.

ive gor the 1/8 redcat and love it but yes they all break and if your like me you want a to fix and play asap so price parts and acciabilty and shop around just like u all know impulse buys almost always backfire and cost

Yes I agree with all the post above. Save up get an axial spend a few more for upgrades and you have a tougher and better truck. Also when buying a rig you want to make sure your LHS sells parts for them. Sometime the classifieds has some good rigs already with upgrades for a similar price. Just my .02
