What pinion gear?

What pinion gear is a good starting point for a brushed 280 with the stock spur gear on a Losi Mini Pro kit. (save the brushless comments, maybe later guys)

The "stock one" comes off my 1/18 Losi Mini Buggy. I need to see what tooth count it is.

I'm running a 14 tooth with the RX-280 motor on 2s batteries. It's a bit slow, I'll be trying a 16t next.
