No pics but the Golden Arrow from Radio Shack was my first real RC. Even though it wasn't considered a hobby grade RC it would haul butt. I still remember chasing cars down the street with it.

Marui Galaxy and Tamiya Frog. That was back in 1986 lol.

Waaaaaaay back in the day I had this car in blue.

Broke an a arm halfway through the first battery pack so we took it back to sears and they gave me the option of the same one in blue or red or for like $20 more I could have this.

I ended up taking the toyota truck of course. It was geared too high to wheel so I pulled out the driveshaft to the front wheels and did sweet burnouts.

My first "real" r/c was a team edition rc10 with hard coated shocks, graphite plate chassis and the all new stealth trans. I still have it with an OG set of andy's a arms and 3 other gold tub chassis versions. I used to trade, buy and sell r/c's CONSTANTLY so I've had most every vintage rig out there at one point in time. :D

First one was a Tamiya Blackfoot.Really wanted Bruiser but, just didn't have the money at the time.

it was the early 80's when i seen wild willy running around the local mall in front of the hobby shop there and knew i had to have it.........bob

wanted one in the 80's but never got one , I have managed to get one now, its about 85% complete and waiting on a restoration

Mine was prolly the Tamiya Sand Scorcher or Tamiya Frog or Tamiya Willys, not sure which! I think I still have them somewhere. Or some kind of cheap Tyco or radio shack.

I think I have my old Tyco Hopper or something like that in a box...

The R/C that brought me to this site was the Tamiya TXT.

My first hobby grade rc car was the tamiya hornet, back in 82 I think, I still have it"thumbsup", after that it was a landslide of rc cars, planes , boats , but. In the end I stayed with rc cars as my main hobby.

tamiya frog followed by a rc10. rc10 set the hook for sure.

this is the rc10 that got me back into rc back in 98 or 99. nib sprinter conversion from advance engineering, which was just a rebadged bbt kit. i still got it. bitd the vintage buggy stuff was cheeeaaap...

few years later i made a 1:6 jeep out of a clod, with a jeep body and pvc pipe and fittings for the chassis and cage, which led to this, made out of an xtm xfactor and 21st century jeep and the same 5/8" pvc pipe. this one definitely set the hook for my interest in scalers.
