what RC got you to this ADDICTION??

My first was a Team Losi JrxT, ran on a 7 cell NiCd pack with a Futaba Magnum Jr radio and Futaba ESC.

For me as a kid with a Radio Shack Jeep that had inflatable tires. They had a little straw thing that tucked into the bead.
Then as teen I ordered an AYK Gator from Circus Hobbies. (below) I wanted the new at that time Super Champ.

Went from that to racing 12 scale pan cars with an Associated RC12L. Then I had to get a original RC10 buggy.(which eventually got turned into a sprint car.) Raced 10th scale, on-road, off-road, oval, dirt and asphalt. 8th scale buggies, a psycho Savage monster truck,An RC10GT, A Slash, and several crawlers. I think I am addicted.....Forgot to mention: boats, planes, helis, motorcycles and a couple vintage Tamiya Super Champs. I think that about covers it.

This is a mountain man! It was four wheel drive, hi and lo range transmission and the axles could even move. No suspension so it was kind of like droop. This thing kicked serious ass but cost like $80 in the early eightys and took a ton of C batteries. (eight I think) and I would kill them in one play session! My parents hated it!

I have been on and off with RC's. My first ever RC when I was a kid was a Tamiya Vanquish.
I then raced Electric cars and drove a Tamiya T415 and Mini M03. Tried a few nitros and ended up with a Kyosho Super Eight.

Stopped for a while, then bought a Kyosho Blizzard SR....got bored one day and thought about trying scale RC, bought a SCX10 and the list goes on now......

Way back in 1980/81 I saved up my pocket money,
my dad chipped in with half, and I bought an OG Sand Scorcher.
I don't have a picture of my orginal, but here's a picture of my re-re.

Back in the day my friend had a ClodBuster another friend had a BlackFoot so i picked up a LunchBox. We had a lot of fun with those Damn trucks.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note (Phablet)

Traxxas Rustler... Tower Hobbies catalog I ordered out of actually had original hi-lux's for sale, but I had a need for speed. I thought 450.00 was a crazy price for a scaler. Boy, was I a newb back then.

For me it was a Kyosho Ultima, the first version. Around 87-88 when I was ~10-11 years old.

I moved on to racing Custom Works Intimidators on clay oval for several years.

For anyone in the Atlanta GA area, most of my track time was Sugar Bowl and Silver Wings RC Speedways.

First was a tyco bandit with red/ yellow trim..after that was the tamiya stadium blitzer with manual speed control which I turned into a "snow machine" with skis on the front and sheet metal screws in the rear tires. Also turned it into an airboat for a high school shop class project...A+! Sadly both are gone and no pics. One day I'll have them both again:D

We may have raced at one time. I raced silver wings every weekend for a year or two. Short banked oval, lots of fun "thumbsup"

it was the early 80's when i bought this little gem then sold it to buy a rc10, it has been almost a constant addiction since. i was clean and sober from 97-08 then got sucked back in. they say once yer an addict always an addict

Hoopty...would really like to see some more pics of that rc10/sprinter pic you posted ...got any idea where I can find another one like that ???

What got me into crawling was seeing it at the Off Road Expo years ago. Then last year, I decided I needed something else to do other than work, eat, sleep, so I decided to replace the electronics on out Team Associated T2 from '97

No body, sorry

After that was done, I decided to do ALL the components for our HPI rally car that was built in '98, but dad never spent money to get it running. I adjusted the shocks, stiffer springs, and street tires to make it a street car (Original dirt tires and wheels are in the pic)

And my BMW E30 body

Then I was looking through Xtreme RC magazine since I was looking into a short course. I decided I have the T2 already, so I should get something else. XRC had some crawler stuff in it so started looking into crawlers. Was decided on the Nightcrawler, but then noticed in an Axial ad that the Honcho came in a kit (I love building RCs, so look for kits rather than RTRs), and bought it within a week or so (That was November 2011)

Last week I got a Nightcrawler, lol

So I have 2 crawlers, and 2 other cars that are kind of the family's

I've thought about getting the TA T4.1 since parts for my T2 are getting scarce and I'm afraid to break parts (I broke the front arm within 30mins of running it a second time and was lucky they still made front arms [no rear arms are made at all])
