What's in your vehicle?

More than 20 empty crushed cans of Mtn Dews, some snack wrappers, couple ice scrappers, a Sponge bob blanket, gloves, a mini tool box kit, a gas container, and couple McD toys.

empty cigarette packs, dirt and leaves, directions to a comp, a hatchet to work on the scaler course, and a snow brush

Various recovery goodies, various tools, flashlight, blanket, stuff to make coffee, tire chuck, air hose, chock block, CO2 tank, ARB fridge set to 29F.

-wet wipes
-durex
-club
-rolling paper
-shades
-jacket
-hoodie
-folding knife
-something
-redbull
-pen
-small moleskine
-mints
-beanie
-coconut

All of these are hidden at those compartments though... Only the beanie sits behind the rear window, visible to the outsiders. I hate clutter in my car, everything got to be neat and tucked away.

EDIT: I forgot adding my fog horn to the list.

sounds like kidnapper gear. im kidding. :lmao:

i carry an extra fuel filter [diesel] 250 piece o ring set, tools 3 knives and a shot gun . [ im from texas :flipoff:]

Tinted windows are just one more reason for thieves to break into your car. Think about it. You are hiding things that you don't want people to steal.

Posted live from a city where you can't have anything nice unless you can afford to replace it once it gets stolen
not really hiding anything because I only have clothes and a pair of muck boots there but of they want that they can have it.

but funny my work truck with no tint, a full set of snap-on sockets, sawzall, and various other tools along with the doors stay unlocked at all times, that nouthing has ever gone missing.

just guess I dont live in the hood like the rest of you fools:flipoff:

I might exceed the bandwidth of this site if I listed everything in my truck, but if I ever need anything, I usually have it on hand.

It's true, I've seen it and had to clean out the garbage for me to have a seat to ride in on the way to a comp.

um let me think...
seats
steering wheel
gear shift
speedo
tach
Odo
fuel gage
carpet
dirt
vents
...:lmao:

seriously though
receipts
a multi tool
sunglasses
umbrella....thats about it

You too eh Tim?
I often volunteer with Mt Hood Search and Rescue. Don't get me started lol.
Hell , I've even got morphine sulfate patches and "Dex" in there JIC.
BTW if you're driving in the hills alone, carry.
Didn't see a tire plug kit yet so...

It also pays to have a "bug out" bag in your ride at all times containing at least:
-food (at least 3-5 days MREs are light)
-water/filter and reservoir (platypus brand can be boiled or frozen)
-Small titanium pot/utensils for cooking
-HD emergency blanket x2 bright orange on one side(not the cheapo see through kind)
-Stocking hat even in summer
-SOCKS!!! (blisters suck when you're hiking out of a bad situation)
-polypropylene top and bottom base layers (warm and they dry real fast)
-sunglasses (I carry glacier goggles for better coverage)
-sunscreen
-Wax Paper and a grease pen for leaving waterproof notes for rescuers
-bivy sack
-knife/machete
-cordage
-"backpacker's" chainsaw
-spool of fishing line
-firestarter and cotton balls soaked in petroleum jelly packed in a film container
-4 Lighters, one Zippo (scared of a pack of wolves off in AK throwing 2 lighters in my fire once, NOW I carry lol)
-compass/map
-signal mirror (I can't even express how good it feels when we're looking for you from helo and we see that flash!)
-first aid kit (capable of supporting a broken bone, head wound and insect stings)
-at least 3 flares one green for night time (practically blind us if we're looking for you with IR)
-PLB (personal locator beacon)
-epenephrine pen JIC
-Lightweight pistol with stopping power
- I also carry a 40M coil of climbing rope, 6 carabiners, belay device, and webbing for anchors or a "swami harness". You never know what's between you and HOME.

The whole pack w/o rope and water weighs under 15 pounds and can save my life almost anywhere. Everyone should have one in their rig.
Don't forget a pack of smokes if you smoke.
I know they're horrible, but when you're stuck or lost, sometimes a smoke really helps maintain the "it's not over yet" mindset.
that and being stuck/lost/hurt is bad enough without having a Nic fit too lol. Ive heard a story where a guy used his last match to light a smoke. He had a pack or 2 with him and kept one lit off the old one. That cherry lit 2 more fires in the next 2 days, the second fire being the signal fire that saved his life. Cigarettes still suck but they CAN help ya out sometimes too I guess lol.
