Whats your favorite Christmas song?

Not technically a Christmas song, but it is Charlie Brown's Christmas "thumbsup"

Anything by Mannheim Steamroller or Trans-Siberian Orchestra is always at the top of my list!

Well, I probably shouldn't post anything up here from the album, 'cause it's really quite full of unsavory bits that the children really shouldn't hear.......

But I just can't start a Christmas season without some Christmastime in the 909!
From toe-tappin' good times like Billy Idol's 'Yellin' at the Christmas Tree' to triumphant tunes about the magic and majesty of the season, such as Jerry Springer's 'Pink Flamingos', the CD really does have a few good nuggets of entertainment. Skits like the SantaShaq rap, and Reindeer Apprentice are a bit dated, but then again the album is from back in '04...... Still, my go-to pick.

I also really like Twisted Sister's 'A Twisted Christmas' CD. It arranges standard classics to musical scores that I would have never even considered to be a possibility.

Honorable mentions go out to Disney's The Grand Floridian Society Orchestra, and their 'Christmastime is Here' CD, kind of a mix between a quartet style and a big band/orchestra style.
And then there's 'Christmas from Death Row', done by various artists on the Death Row record label. Most are standards done in a smooth R&B style, but there's a few originals on there, too. (does however, earn it's parental advisory warning sticker)
From there, the Missus and I usually just go on to compilation and various artists CDs. Except that Mariah Carey stuff, she don't really like that at all, and I don't like it enough to put up any kind of fight on it's behalf.

(okay, the kids should have gotten bored and left by now)

(seriously kids, that's a hint, get out)

(okay....)

Welcome on.......
The Christmas Season!!!!!

And in this time of brotherhood of man,
Ask yourself, what would Jesus do?

I'd have to say I'm a fan of any of the traditional songs and singers, Sinatra, Crosby, Martin, Elvis, and even the Carpenters. There is only a couple of "new" musicians or songs I can tolerate. I really like Transyberian Orchestra and I think the group called Straight no Chaser does some neat stuff with classic songs. I'll try to post some vids later, can't access Utube at work.

I'm not usually a huge fan of Christmas music, but this one is pretty awesome I think.

And then you have to throw in some humor.
