Who has sailed the seas of cheese?

I've seen that more than a few times, and I do think that was their first radio appearance. That might also be on Animals Shoudnt Act Like People DVD.

Seen them live a while back at Cleveland Agora. Great show!!! except for some tards called Limp Bizkit who opened. They sucked!:flipoff:

That was my first concert at the age of 17. Primus opened for Rush. The two greatest bass players of my lifetime.

Just got to the venue. Drove through a crazy rain storm on the way here. Weather looks pretty decent so far. Partly cloudy 68 degrees. Perfect. This is gonna be a freak show. Awesome:mrgreen:

Holy fawking Crap. Epic show!! They just finished first set. Pit is crazy. I'm goin back in"thumbsup"

What a great show!!! It rained hard on the way there, & on the way home, but not a drop during the show. I spent all but 1 song in or on the edge of the pit, & I found out this morning that I am no longer in pit shape. I am crazy sore this morning:lmao: I may or not have broken some guy's nose when I got shoved from behind & cracked him in the face with my shoulder. It felt pretty crunchy:shock: Many minds were numbed by THC judging from the smoke floating around"thumbsup" It was a groovy mix of people - from old dudes in their 70s to the crazy young feaks & everything in between. Right before the show started, I was standing next to a tiny little 50 yo lady, that had never listened to Primus. She was just checking out the show. I don't think she was expecting there to be a full blown pit, cuz she bailed as soon as the first song started & she started getting knocked around:lmao:

They played a good mix of tunes, although there were a couple I would have really liked to hear. They played for close to 2 1/2 hours"thumbsup"

Setlist:
Those Damn Blue Collar Tweakers
Golden Boy
American Life (big long groovy jam in the middle)
Mr Krinkle (with pig mask)
The Toys Go Winding Down
Over The Falls
Groundhog's Day
Jerry Was a Race Car Driver (the pit was nuts for this one:shock:)

Intermission
They came back & played the whole Green Naugahyde album"thumbsup"

Encore
Southbound Pachyderm (great 10-15 minute jam in the middle)
Wynona's Big Brown Beaver finished up the show. The pit was crazy for this one too"thumbsup"
Alright, enough talk, on to some pics

And drummers, and special mention goes towards the guitarists. No slouches by any means.

New Rush album just came out the other day.

I shall amend my previous statement and say that in my opinion, they are the two most talented and influential bands in my lifetime.

That looks like a nice little show......the crowd is the PERFECT size! I hate going to shows that are too big...

I agree JH, and that's part of why I don't care for live shows anymore.

Thanks for the pics, slickwillie. "thumbsup"

DAMN! I was a Roll The Bones concert and I don't remember who opened but ut wasn't f!@cking PRIMUS! I feel a little gipped!

Tried almost all in Columbus and a few in Cleveland and two in Cincinnati. Either crap crowd that won't shut up or it's crap sound. I'd pay hundreds of dollars to put the band in my living room. But instead, I'll do stereos and headphones.

Found some video from last night. None of this was shot by me. The video I shot looks it was done by a drunk monkey having a seizure:roll: The sound sucks, turn down your speakers.

Jerry was a race car driver.

Les talking. The guy in the bottom left corner with the orange & black hat was wearing a gas mask with flashing lights, so Les asks him about it. Ler shreds it up about halfway through.

My only real complaint about the show was the vocals. Both of his mics were turned down way low. During the show, I couldn't really hear any of that exchange about the gas mask or the people flipping him off. When I watched that vid today, I was like oh that's what he was talking about:lmao:

Les is why I started playing bass guitar! "thumbsup"

Jealous, I never had a chance to see them live. Though, I don't care for huge shows either.
