Seen them 3 times, super tight every show! This was the first time I saw them back when I lived in Daytona. We were just off to the left of the drummer, kind of behind the stage.

i figured it out.
Can't believe I found this tread, I am a fan of primus since 20 years at least (I am 40 now..) I am Italian and I saw the primus and les claypool only once and it was amazing, I love the music and the way he plays the bass!
I have all CDs and some specials...
Reading this tread brought me back to former times..and feel bit nostalgic..

Tim Alexander Is Out of Surgery
The Mighty Tim "Herb" Alexander has pulled through surgery, the blockage from his heart has been removed with no complications and all signs point to a glorious and speedy recovery.

"As we started putting it together, especially with the expanded soundscape of having string and vibraphone and marimba, it started sounding to me like one of the early Peter Gabriel records meets Dark Side of the Moon meets the Residents," says Claypool. "That's what I get out of it. Obviously that's some big-ass horn-tooting to be doing."
The album clatters and spurts unlike any Primus record thanks to Alexander's percussion set-up — instead of a drumkit, he's in the center of what Claypool describes as "a giant circle, or a pile of things to bang on."
"He's so musical at what he does, and he can be very orchestral when he wants to be, and taking him off a traditional kit just brought forth these sounds that we've just never gotten from him before," says Claypool. "If you saw this kit, you'd laugh your ass off. He couldn't get in and out of it. We'd open up a portion of it and shove him in there and then lock him in with other pieces of things."

Tim "Herb" Alexander Update
Tim has been home from the hospital for about 5 days and is making great progress. Thanks to all Tim's friends in the music community and the fans for having Tim in their thoughts over the past two weeks. He is up walking around, starting some physical therapy and his wits about him as well. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the 2 set shows in Maplewood, Fargo and Clive as Tim wont be ready to play 2 sets in September. Tim is resting up at home and getting ready for his return to the stage on Oct 22nd at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia. We'll be making a special announcement about both Riot Fest shows sometime in the near future.

Saw them with Tool, Fishbone, STP, Alice in Chains and others in '93 at the Lollapalooza tour. Man, what a good time! I actually went to the tour in '92, '93, & '94. So many good bands Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Rage Against the Machine, Beastie Boys, Black Crowes, Breeders, Green Day, all young and hungry. The vibe when George Clinton and P-Funk came out to perform with Beastie Boys was absolutely electric!! I finally joined the 21st century and got an IPhone 5 and have been loading music onto it like crazy. Rediscovering a lot of music from my youth. Finding stuff I used to have before my brother in law lived with us for awhile. Lots of Cd's vanished during that time. Just got a bluetooth speaker system that really sounds good. Can't quite believe one speaker box and a phone is all I need most of the time now. I had Pork Soda and intended to get more of there stuff, but never did. Now, I find myself enjoying more and more of their music. So different and so good!
