11am doors open
2.2 pro class and 1.9 comp classes
(2.2 sportsman if 3 trucks show up)
3 courses per class
Hobby Town USA Orland Park.

I will be there....but may still be rockin' the Bully since the XR10 and parts have not arrived yet.

we could try it... Realy 2.2 scalers and sportsman trucks are about the same. At the last comp we let mini-matt drive one of my scalers when his comp truck died and he was able to pull off some lines I wouldnt have thought it would (and that was Mini-Matt, imagine a good driver :lmao:)

What are the rules for 2.2 pro class? I don't have a dig just a stock ax10 with hb rovers and a body with less than 70% lexan left.

A stock no dig shafty would be a sportsman truck... there is nothing stopping you from running in pro but, you wont be as competitive. Come on out and we should be able to have enough trucks for a sportsman class.

I'll be a little late for the comp. I need to have a CT Scan at 10:00 in Park Ridge. The scan is for my dental implants.

The XR10 is up and running. It is missing the new motors and the VP knuckles....but it is running with the stock knuckles and the 16t motors. I figure that it is running, so all is OK. I am looking forward to driving it on Saturday.

with 45t's and 3s my xr10 was airborne... Those pullers will result in a low flying aircraft.

That is partly why I ordered a pair of custom wound 18T units. They will give me a little better low end performance/control and will lose a little wheel speed. I think that it is a fair trade-off. The nano-tech 350mah batteries (3 cell 65c - 130c) have not arrived either.....but those will come in soon.

results (noone passout for me getting these up same day)

Jeff S 31
Josh R 63
Brad P 74
Kyle 77
Jason K 80
Erik 91
Dave K 98
Tim K 102
Matt 106

And for the record, I made that climb after the comp... once. Tried it and tried it and couldnt get back up though.

It was great seeing some new faces and seeing some new old faces. To me it was about the perfect sized comp and hopefully everyone had fun. Thanks to all that help reaarange the store so we could have a bigger better course area.

I think that a HUGE "Thank You" has got to be said to Hobbytown. They really have gone above and beyond with space and support for the crawling area. The new space is just great and is flexible enough to allow for many course variations and change through the center section. The improvement over the older layout is like night and day.

The day yesterday was just great. The mix of people was fun, and the feeling throughout the day was fun and stress-free. The feeling was very similar to the events of 4 years ago. It really was a fun day.

The new truck did not disappoint me....and I am looking forward to the next event.
