Wisconsin rigs

You can have it all when I die :lmao:. If I get some paint on the ol' girl this weekend (hopefully!), I'll post up some pics. I'm kinda stoked to see how the new meats look all mounted up on those slotted wheels. Otherwise it's just a bunch of words and junk.

C'mon trail season!

Arrangements can be made:twisted:

yea , we needs pics, tax refunds and trail season.

Yup, got the stuff! Unfortunately I was also sick as a dog Friday so I didn't get much done. Feelin' a lil better today so we'll see.

The steel skidplate on the Boyer chassis is drilled for an R2 trans (?), challenge #1. I'll have to make a template for the Axial hole pattern and re-drill to mount the 2 speed.

Since I'll be using R2J's 4 link trusses front and rear, I need to tear her all down to install those. It was a roller, but if I pull the axles I might as well open them, inspect and lube as needed.

Got the Pitbulls mounted on Gearhead's slotted mags.....wow, nice! They're bigger than I thought mounted, so up goes the body a bit.

That's all for now .

Pix or it never happened.:flipoff::lmao:

Did you ever do anything to the TF2 body?

I'll have to clear out a spot and snap a few before the teardown "thumbsup"

TF2? Yeah, I looked at it once or twice . If I can figure out a good stripper it'll get a shot of fresh paint and a few scale goodies at some point.

I bought the Blizzard SR over Christmas break, then stumbled upon a vintage NIB Blizzard DF-300 (discontinued but way better version) so the trail rigs got neglected for awhile.

The Blizzard EV's (with the single 540 motor) are no longer available correct?
The ones that have been re-introduced are the twin 380's version, correct?

As promised...

pic #1: ride height, wheelwells and link lengths to be adjusted
pic #2 some goodies
pic #3 scored these off RCC
pic #4 Hank Hill reccomends Strickland Propane and propane accessories :lmao:
You know the party is over when the barrel is empty!

Working on the axles now...OD/UD gears, Axial Aluminum C's and high clearance knucks, R2J trusses.

A little more progress...got the 2 speed in, driveshafts, steering servo and bumper mounted. Trimmed the rocker panels a hair more to get 'er lower. WB is 12" on the nuts, but seems like the rear axle should be forward a bit?

Thanks Bigred, I do ok :flipoff:. The chassis was $199 on sale. Not too bad considering an SCX-10 chassis + steel bumper + steel sliders would cost about $140-$160 depending on what you want. If it performs as well as our Jeeps I'll be happy with it.
