Wisconsin rigs

That's the Boyer truggy chassis from RC4WD "thumbsup".

I wonder what that Super character is up to with this build, sumthin good I bet!

56 hour work week, I hit the sack early :shock:.

That Boyer chassis is really slick, crazy amount of adjustabilty built in.

Hey Blake, nice tuber "thumbsup". What are you planning to do with it?
 
That tuber looks like a lot of work!

I thought that boyer chassis looked very cool and like something I may have wanted, especially for the adjustability. Then I looked it up:cry:, way too much for my pocket book. Even when I have money.

So I wasn't going to post any pics of my new project until it was mostly done, but I decided what the hell! Obviously its a ford"thumbsup". Traded for a g6 kit and some tires,wheels, body and small parts. Couldn't even get it all together before I started pulling parts off and modifying things. Stretched the wheelbase maybe 1/4 inch to give those monster tires a little more space. Changed out the icon al shocks already. Its amazing how we could spend so much on one of these kits then not even use half of it, or so it seems. Probably end up selling the g6 body and cage, icon shocks, and maybe tires and wheels as well.

I know the tires are too big. But I got as close as possible to what I wanted as I could, with what is available
Question. What would be a good way of securely mounting the body without body pins or the like sticking out of it? I'm not opposed to making things


Next project will be making new sliders/ boatsides/ electronics Mount.

The chassis is on sale right now for 199. That still seems expensive for something I don't need. Remember, I'm a cheap bastard!

I was just thinking a chassis that didn't get in the way of the axles or steering and had some adjustability built in to it, would be really nice. Building my kit, I saw how much shock shaft was still sticking out and the frame is already hitting the axles and links( I left out the spacers on the shocks). I put on another set of old tmax shocks and whatever springs I could find. I have the same ride height now, more droop, and probably too much articulation. I can fix that internally. And the shocks work better. I think this will work for me, I hope. Its my first scx10. I may have to learn the hard way.

I do really like the idea of that chassis though.
And really wish I had the skill and equipment to build something like that buggy^.
