World Crawler Build Off

yeah i'm in also but had a question and have been to busy to ask it so sorry that i am late. I am one of those poor kids and i am in the process of building a crawler right now. So i was wondering since i probably wont be able to afford another one by the deadline, am i alowed to completely redo the one i am building now? and by redo i mean new chassis, new suspension, and other random new stuff like maybe tires, wheels, driveshafts, body? if not let me know 'cause then i will just go all out on this one i'm building right now instead of saving all my time and money and custom parts for the event.

I;m building one to, and I can't afford to build a completely new one. so can I enter the one I'm building know if its not finished by the time it begins, if it begins?

RCMF, first let me state I am NOT the one making the rules for this comp.

I would think, though, that most of us building will be using parts we already have. (Not me, though, this will be my first crawler!) In your case, once your current project is torn down, it becomes a pile of parts to be used on your new project, just my thought.

I can't wait til this starts...

Wow, this is a cool idea. Especially cool as i am keen to build my first crawler. Only Problem being, i dont think first build people have any competition against all you pros. Shame the rules are final because I personally think that say 2 classes would be neat. Like newbie class - (just painted body, 4 link, simple setup type crawler) and pro class (tube chassis', cantilever suspension, 3 - 4 channel separate rear steer, long time RCC member, that type of stuff).
Just an idea for us new guys? Shoot me down if im wrong...

Wow, I just read about this. Count me in!

I got bit by the crawling bug recently and I'm only just collecting parts for my first crawler (although I think some of you already read what I want to do). I'm getting married next month, so all the ideas I want to try out will have to wait til July anyway. I'm in Malaysia so I'm not expecting prizes if I win anything, but just let me compete anyway, ok?

We can only enter 1 truck each, right? I've really got 2 designs lined up so I guess I'll have to choose one. Can I compete with a mini truck? It wont be all that capable outside the backyard, but it'll be very different from the mainstream designs. :)

so i take it that i am getting an "ok" on my post. I just wanted to make sure so i wasn't DQ'd or flamed at if i win with the same base truck as i already had (mad force axles and emaxx tranny). I can't wait until we start! I have so many ideas. Oh and i had an idea. I think the top ten trucks should be listed and the top two or three get prizes if you guys chose to give prizes.

Just take a look at the rules and leave it at that. I think the powers that be are very interested in people not getting overly concerned about rules being specific. Let's all have fun and build some cool trucks!

I think the online voting this is kind of shaddy.
What will stop someone from creating 30+ screen names and voting with each one of them.
There are alot of people on this board that have way too much time on their hands. I would hate to see a fun comp like this turn sour because of someones dishonesty. I hope that the RCC mod crew has some way of preventing this!

By the way fellas, I would be extremely worried because I have a huge ace up my sleeve.

Cant wait till July!

I am on 4-5 different computers on a given day! IPs are nothing.
I am not a web master, and there might already be a control system active, I just this this issue should be addressed.

exactly i can get a different ip adress in 3 minutes.... with a simple phone call

If someone feels the need to cheat by voting multiple times for themselves then they will finally realize what a loser he/she really is! There haven't been any announcements on prizes either, so they may win nothing. I doubt anyone will do this and if they do and are caught, they will likely be banned from RCC. The punishment will cast them down to places like RCU and Clod Talk, which is the worst punishment of all!!
