1st OFFICIAL RCC Scaler Build off Sponsored by RC4WD

Turns out I was taking the 1:1 thing way to literal, so after a quick talk with Norm I got it straightened out... ;-)

If you squint real hard this is actually a Chevy, I'm not even sure if its orange. :ror: But it is a huge inspiration to this build.

This build is a throwback to my original silverado chevy, those of you around a while know what I'm talking about.

the OG build for those that are interested, this will NOT be the same truck, amazing what 5 years does for this hobby.

That's bad ass Andy! I should thought mine out a little more......there's some awesome rigs in this build off!

The 1.1 is called strange brew. Its a 3rd gen toyota. My buddy fish owns it. Corey fisher from canada. mog axles ,mid engine 502, rear stear. The orange is a 2006 VW color. Jason wiedhunner is the builder. He also built the Blazer Buggy. I could get you some pics if you want.

Sweet deal, not sure how literal I'm going with this build, but that pic is a good depiction of what I have visioned in my head

Andy love the ideas. I still remember doing team trail with you and Stu in '08 with that truggy and Stu I think was driving the cop Rover

Glad you cleared that up...I was thinking I was losing it. I know a chevy from a toyota. I thought chevy put something out I didn't know about. :lmao:

I was joking. The style of this rig is what I'm basing my build on, not an exact replica. No one made a 1:1 silverado like this that I know of, so I'm taking some creative liberties.

Started getting things going tonight.

First I got the part of the cab I am going to need, pissed cause the roof is going to need some work because the glue they used to hold the glass in warped the roof

got the wheels, tires and axles all together

then started playing with how I might trim the front. un decided if I want to pinch the nose on this one or not, kinda like the cut up look of my inspiration rig.

off to do some thinking before I start hacking...
