Hi I am new to this forum and the world of crawling , I've recently bought a XTM X Crawler , I was wondering if anyone can recommend any good tyres in 3.2 inch as all the comments I've read on these crawlers is well over 5 years old and everyone said the standard tyres where rubbish, wondered if there were anything new in 3.2 inch in the last few years , I know this is a old crawler but I love the look of the MOA axles and also wonder if anyone has ever built anything with these axles similar to some of the vehicles I've seen using Bully axles, I'm not making a comparison other than they are both MOA axles, was thinking of a Wraith style metal space frame chassis with these axles , I know the articulation would not be as good, but I would like a nice looking all matal rock bouncer type car, purely for a bit of local fun ,

By the way I live in Aberdeenshire in Scotland so lots of local granite to get out onto, I've also read on forums from pre 2013 that the XTM X crawler had some weak points any advise on upgrades ? People mentioned them breaking but offered very little in the way of solutions, I now know there was 2 versions of the XTM X crawler,. The later having improvements made to the gears and transmission and I believe chassis frame as well, but how do I tell if I have a early one or a latter version ? Any advice very much appreciated.
I am also starting think by lack of any comments that maybe I should put this down to an expensive newbie mistake due to lack of experience and just buy a pair of bully 2's front axles and start from there with my build,

I have bought all new RC Screws stainless hardware and bearings waiting for them to come to replace all the standard hardware . And HPI savage XL 5.9 big bore alloy shocks to give longer spring length to re locate the lower spring mount, to stop hanging up, any other advise very much appreciated, I am going to be stripping it to replace all the hardware so may as well make any other mods at the same time, I'm going to be running twin Hi-tech HS7955TG servos per axle, but need advise on steering linkages as original alloy ones are known for bending,
