*Yawn* What the hell is this place?

Welcome back J, hope you stick around, no better time to play with RCs then when your retiring right "thumbsup"

Found out today that I apparently broke my left foot the day after we moved in. My son broke his Super Rock Rey today. Looks like I'm stuck mowing or riding the golf cart if I want play in the yard. :ror:

Nice garage. Nice vehicles. Good to see some OGs coming back.

Thanks. The garage was a real nice feature and isn't common in the area. Got lucky there.

Glad to see you back. Your builds were huge inspirations for my son and I. "thumbsup"

Cool. I doubt I'll be "back" in anything resembling what I was in the past, but I'll cruise the forums once in a while. I just don't have the want/need to mess with the RC stuff like I used to.

I remember the username, but that's about it. Sweet Chevys in that garage! "thumbsup"

Welcome back.

We're in the same boat. I remembered the user name and know I built a bunch of stuff, but I've forgotten a lot of it.

Dream garage! Really nice Chevys too!

The Chevys are interesting. The Chevelle is all stock (283/Powerglide) with a few thousand watts of audio. There's 1,040 Watts on the front speakers, 100 each to the 6x9s in the rear, and 3,000 Watts to the subs. When done it'll look stock.

The Camaro is a monster. Pro Touring car with IRS from a 5th gen Camaro and the front subframe was built for the 416LS with all C7 suspension. Brakes are Baer 6-piston front and rear. Front end is all carbon stuff from Anvil. Same for the filler panel, trunk lid, and spoiler. 2,900lbs and 683hp to the tires. We've measured 1.5g on acceleration and haven't found what it'll do cornering.

Welcome back!
And those pics of the garage are the exact reason why I'm trying to get out of SoCal and move to Georgia.

So much cheaper. We left the D.C. area. Prior to that we were in Hawaii. Stupid expensive at both places. Money goes so much farther here.

For the price of a house where we were in northern VA we got 3 1/2 acres with a pond and two houses on the property.

First pic should be the guest house and the shed where the previous owner kept the golf cart. Neither of the houses has a place where I can put the projector and stuff we used for home theater so I'll probably just use that building to build a dedicated HT.

2nd pic with just the front door and garage door is the main house. The difference in brick is due to the 2-car section there being an addition. Was originally a carport.

dust off the old blue fj on 1.9's..

Don't have it. No clue where it is now. I remember I modified a gear drive to make it more crawl worthy. Was a fun little rig.

When I got out I was so burnt out that I threw away 8 40 gallon trash bags of rigs and parts. Didn't even want to bother selling.

I gave over 60 planes and helis to soldiers in my wife's unit to have in Afghanistan.

Very few rigs survived that move. The ones that did were sold to some OG guys here on the forum. I know I have a boat at my brother's house and the 1/4 and 1/3 scale planes are in my mom's basement. We have three 1.9s here. All Axial SCX-10s.

Dang bub. Im glad you donated some to your wifes unit. I bet they enjoyed the stuff. When I was in, I was able to convince a few of my buddies to get some rigs goin too. Lol. Fun times.

That little blue fj was my favorite to watch on youtube. Dont know why.. It just really grabbed my attention lol.

Hey welcome "back" your past builds will be surely missed, especially Ralph!

Beautiful Camaro and Malibu. I'm not sure I've ever even seen a 4 door 66 Malibu, but now I think I need one.

I remember the great giveaway. How's Warren doing? I ran into him a couple times in Lex after we all got out of crawling but it's been a few years since we last talked. Good to see you back on RCC. I got out of the comp scene but kept at least one 1.9 scale rig to mess around with over the years. Now I have a 6yr old boy that loves rc so we're up to three scale rigs, an 8th scale buggy and an assortment of other boats and cars! It escalates quickly. :ror:

Mr. JIA turned down a gear reduction for me when I first got into this way back in Ottsix. Haha. I don't really play with my RCs much anymore, either. But, I do like to pop in and see what's up occasionally.

Rest that foot old man!!

Rcc is back to 2005 days of action. Facebook has killed nearly all forums. I still like this place better, even though it’s pretty slow and there aren’t heavy contributors like there used to be. Maybe that will change, seems people are getting sick of FB.
