Being new to all this I thought I would jump on the pre made chassis bandwagon for my first build. These are my specs.

Sw2 Chassis
TLT-1 locked diffs(bearings to come)
Pedes locked tranny 87 spur 15 pinion.
Dura trax shocks w/ white and yellow losi springs. 20 -35 weight oil
Matrix pro 55t lathe motor
MSD link plates
G-made widners
Custom links w/ traxxas ball ends
Traxxas cut/narrowed driveshafts
Moab 2.2 on HPI spikes.
3 oz. weight added to insides of each front wheel.
Tekin Rebel II ESC
Hi tec 645 servo
Jrxs3 transmitter w/rs310 reciever
3300 GP six cell stick pack w/deans
HPI Bronco body.

Custom stuff:
Narrowed rims and custom star shaped foams.
Cut body and added edge protection around base.
Angled lower links for max. clearance.
8 color paint job.(going for that 70's look,it'll grow on ya!)

I got the truck out for a quick run as the pics shw. It went really well (from my point of view) the Duratrax shocks are leaking already?? Other than that all went well. I cetainly didn't win any quickest assembly times awards but I had a good time. I would like to thank all of those fellow rccrawler users that assisted me with my countless PM's and thread questions. Especially, Bender, rbgerrish(spells probably wrong, Thanx Ryan), Ben from Montana Scale design, Kevin from the crawler store, and Jeff "Q" Johnson (from my LHS)
Without people like you with all your assistance and your words of encouragment this site and the sport of crawling would not be what it is today.
Let me know what you think.

looks good. sucks that the shocks are leaking already. take them back apart and see if the seals are in right and make sure they arent cracked or twisted up anywhere

Clean build..and I like that Bronco body. Those lower links that are bent like that, Where did you find them??

"thumbsup"

Nice build, you can't go wrong with an sw chassis, they are awesome.
Try flipping your shocks upside down, that wat all of the oil isn't just sitting on the seals wanting to leak out. Plus it will lower the cg a tad."thumbsup"

i think he said he made the links? i could be wrong but yeah turn the shocks upside down. also try a lower gearing like an 84 spur and 12 tooth pinion its a great combo.

I love that body! I've had experience with Duratrax shocks, they leak like crazy! Get some better shocks like Losi shocks or something....the extra $$ is worth it!

Great looking rig, but I just cant stand the battery pack sticking out!! it really kills the look of the truck:roll:

Sneff, like different trucks and paint jobs there are several options for batteries as well. my only other R/C experience is with on road racing 27t motors in 1/10 and 1/12 scale. In each of those classes you only get 5 and 8 minute mains respectfully. So hearing that I could get 1 hour+/- with a 6 cell sud C stick pack I was all for it. I really just want maximum run time and nothing more.
The place the pics were taken is a local beach off of Vancouver Island in Canada.
The paint job was a lot of work 8 colors in all. I really just wanted somtime different. If I had to do it again I would have used metallic flake rather than solid colors. It was my first attempt at Carbon fiber, drop shadows, cutting in contrasting letters and shapes. It was a lot of work but it has certainly grown on me, and I am garanteed to not find another one even similar anywhere........

Man, the SW2 makes such a clean lookin' rig! I can't wait to start on mine. Do you have any torque twist with that shock setup?

As far as torque twist I am looking at getting new shocks (old (brand new)ones are leaking) for the pics I had 20 weight oil in the front and 30 wieght in the right rear with 35 weight in the left rear. An attempt at dealing with torque twist. I am looking at getting even lighter oil for the front with my new shocks to try and get things a little more squishy.
