Yeti RTR motor/esc in E-MAXX?

So I've been thinking about putting my yeti rtr sidewinder3 and 3150kv motor in my nephews emaxx.

He has the brushed**edited** emaxx version. This is not that crazy big 1/8th scale one (x-maxx)
The only thing that throws me is that is has pretty large tires, but the weight seems to be close enough to a yeti.

The gearing seems short enough that it would probably be faster but not too fast hopefully (for a 7 and 8 yr olds), and I can always change that anyway

BTW since his is the brushed version it has two motors.. however I should be able to find what I need by ordering motor mounts and etc. from Traxxas since their own brushless version is just one motor right dead center of the truck so I'm not worried about fitment in that area.. And even though I clearly don't sound familiar with any of this :p I can pull off the install no problem.

I'm just alittle out of touch as to how the vanguard 3150 and esc would behave in the emaxx. It would be nice to run it on just one battery though and it would save weight too

If it's a brushless edition emaxx it doesn't have 2 motors.

The vanguard system is barely strong enough to run the Yeti. Anything can be done but I don't think it would hold up very long in the emaxx, especially on 3s. You really should be looking at 1/8th scale electronics.

Gear it down to start and watch the temps. Any motor can power an emaxx really, just depends on how fast you want to go. If you are trying to keep it somewhat reasonable for the kids, it should be perfectly fine.

Thanks for the advice guys!

I totally misspoke up there you are right I definitely meant to say he has the brushed version with two motors.. I just got turned around when I was typing it out.

I feel like the esc would fair worse than the motor in this case just as it used to get hot in my yeti it has the potential to get even hotter in the e-maxx.

I think I might end up doing this right and get a decent esc to start with, but try the 3150 motor. either way I'll post results and temperature information if I do. thanks again

Also quite incredibly my nephew has throttle control.. he drives around pretty easy and then randomly he'll just launch whatever he's driving off of the biggest thing he can find lmao.
