Started as a parts bin build.
Now it's a 180 motor + brass links crawl monster [emoji3]
Rcawd transmission with the 180 motor, SCX24 axles, injora brass links(gladiator middle, c10 front links far rear and front) FCX24 body, some fms model front bumper.
Now onto full interior, roll cage, accessories.

Not to difficult to fabricate. 80mm extension, 20mm link mount. Two sizes of brass stock used, telescoping sizes. I also used shocks tower replacement as the links mount. Cut plastic stock one to size for the 3rd drive shaft.

I had no idea how much fun this thing could be!
First run out on the real rocks revealed pros and cons. It's very powerful, not fast but goes through everything.
It is heavy. Was hoping brass links would be good enough of weight down. But it is still top heavy with the 180 motor. Gotta figure out how to keep it from tipping over. Most of the glass in the cab is removed and there is very little of the interior, unnecessary plastic is removed from the dashboard and seats. Doesn't like side hill but can go up at a ridiculous angle.
And I took it too far. Love the real trail damage. Screw on steering link came undone some and then got bent and ripped out.

That's a nice looking rig. If you replaced the brass frame rails and the other high up brass with aluminum I would think it would lower the CG a bunch. Might help too if you could get the battery lower. Maybe put a tool box where the battery is and mount the ESC & Rx in it and out the battery in the cab.

Don't have any micro 6x6's but do have a TRX6 that is fun to crawl. Pretty amazing what they can do.

Thank you Gramps. Good points. I'll look for the aluminum equivalent. May be drop the idea of an interior and move battery in the cab.

Maybe a smaller battery I have some whoop batteries that are shaped more like a pack of gum that are 2S and 350-550 mah. Also have a real small Nano-Tech but I forget it's mah but I think it's 300

Thank you Gramps for your suggestions. It is helpful to stir the thought process.
Ended up with the smaller battery fms 380mah is the perfect size for space above the front axle in front of the motor. Plus, spaced out front wheels few mm, I still want to keep the rear narrow.
It is good now. Amount of drag brake is unbelievable. This combo 3 axle and the big motor keeps it still at any angle, no roll at all.

I built this with the Meus kit, basically an extended LCG chassis. I have a long way to go with the shock tuning as the rear is pretty light, currently running no springs and way overdamped in the rear but it was it's first real run out and it will change.

As 2471:24 said - Injora 39mm oil filled.

They are great shocks when you remove the plastic spacer between the two orings in the lower seal. Not as much flex as the facebook crowd like to run but they actually allow tuning and don't leak (I have 2 sets of 4 and one set of 6).

Thanks for posting about removing that spacer. I had loosened those bottom caps but it would still stick every now and again. They seem like great shocks otherwise

Some update on the project.
Still playing with the battery placement. Seems this one is the last option. Clear plastic box fits too nicely and plenty of room for different sizes of the batteries. Also some cheap light controller. Good thing- back up lights. Stupid thing - head light go on when moving forward only. It comes with the turn signals and clicking sound for turning. Quick fix: keep nice amber lights, kill the speaker.
Looks are getting improvement. Face change. Lazy quick paint job inspired by the red on the body it had. It's gonna get messed up anyway. But now it matches my green fleet. Added some interior and the roll cage. Testing some bed options. Articulation of the axle wont allow for wider bed unless it's placed higher, and higher is not good. So narrow it is.
Now if only I could figure out how to get the exoskeleton roll cage like the trail trial trucks.
Currently on a look out for the source toys...

Looking excellent bro. I am having trouble choosing a bed/body to stick with. I changed the rear links on mine to JLU fronts and put on 62mm tyres, probably going to change back but it looks pretty cool.

That's what I got on it right now. C10/FLU front and far back, gladiator rears in the middle. 62mm tires.
FMS "atlas" has the bed suitable for these. But might be too wide.

Very easy weathering pat job. Coat of black, rub off some with paper towel while wet. Let dry. Repeat process with the green.
Silver accents are some nail polish with brushed on diluted in solvent black paint.
Satin clearcoat.

Updated this thing. Now it's unstoppable. Behind the axle steering, rear steer. DinkyRC esc. Agustable upper front links for better angle not axle.
