Hi guys,
here i would like to start my shafty build tread with the new SuDu one FL chassies from Nordic Crawler Design. Tomi gave me the chance to got one of the three peaces he did first. One big reason to build a shafty is that i will drive a lot of international comps in 2014. The most importend highlight will be the nats in USA! The second reason is, that i'm thinking it will be more fun to drive two classes. The third - i think starting with a shafty without DIG will be helpfull for driving pro class better.

Now i'm still waiting for some nice parts from CreationFab, RcBros, EY Design, Holmes Hobbies and many more...

If you like what you see i will be happy if you write some words or comments.
If you did have questions, please ask.

@mammoth - thx you Sir. You have done well that you decided you for NCD. Tomy and the NCD Team always offer great support and perfect work.

@TotoRax - nice that you like, Stefane. I forget to write the real inspiration to build a Shafty. Since 1.5 years i remember about the men who is able to made same points in french shotout final like Racer_zh did. Only the time has decided and he made the second in proclass after him. And the guy drove a SHAFTY, not a Moa!!! And if i also remember wright...the man was you and your rig:mrgreen:

And when i judge wright - the great working custom transmission housing way, which you drove also in these final 2012, will now conquer the shaftyworld. Perhaps it was the most importend factor for the great performance of your rig.

Can't wait to get my NCD custom transmission housing which will be available soon!!!

Thank you - i will do my best for NCD "thumbsup"

Great job Stephan, I'm jealous that i don't have a fl ;)
Thank's Douwe. You did't have to be jealous about the FL. You design the first version and the Chassie works great, if you are looking about the results worldwide. I think with the new NCD trans housing every SuDu one driver could go to the next level.
But i know what you mean - Roland did a really great job with the FL version...great looking / great funktion:mrgreen:

First Impression - the chassie is super stiff and stable

Looking good Stephan "thumbsup" Great pics .... By the way my name is Ronald not Roland

No problem ... "thumbsup" I got my FL chassis mated up with the axles using M3 all thread mock up upperlinks leftover from my OG SuDu build ... I will make the CF ones somewhere next week. I will keep you posted about the progress ...

Looking great so far ZZR. Can't wait to see more of the progress. And can't wait to drive with you again in Spain! "thumbsup"

@Haastnooit - can't wait to get the CF ones, Ronald
@Zarizi Tech - Thanks Samu...also hot for team driving in february in spain!
@RockMafia - Thank you...really looking forward to hear how you like the new way you will go with the NCD custom transmission housing sytem.
@all the others who like these tread - Thanks a lot!!!

After a long time for searching, i think the S.D.I. shafts will be a good way to go. For the first time standard weight is not bad, but there will follow a little mod to loose weight.

Hi,

Good choice for Cardan joints SDI. They are very small, but sufficiently solid. On the other hand the screws in m3 tend to quickly loosening itself… I bore them and taps in M4 and no more problem , but steel is very very hard and difficult to works

Nice ... you going to use them front (shortened) and rear ? Those are friendly priced driveshafts I am interested to see how they work out for you "thumbsup"

I think the m4 mod is a good idea"thumbsup"

Thanks, Ronald - I did't choose these parts, because they are cheap. Like Stefane said - they are very small and light, but stable steel! For the length we have to look what we need for the new NCD trans case. Titan bars 4mm with length and weight we like and need will follow soon...

because there is no "I don´t like it" Button I must push the like Button:flipoff:
:flipoff:thank you, Sir:mrgreen:
