Default hotwheels000 72 blazer

I used a 72 blazer body that has been disco'd for 25 years or so,it was built in the 80's to mimick my 1:1.I have had it on display ever since. Finally a R/C that I utilize it on

I eliminated most of the un-needed plastic stuff like the spur gear cover, battery tray, and esc case.relocated the battery and esc.Added weight to the wheels etc.....

The body was bobbed in the rear, I was able to retain the inner fender wells but had to ditch the interior until I can buikld a proper scale frame with cantilever shocks and a transfer case. The hood opens to access the battery. I can run the stock Nimh or my 400 mh lipos in that location.

Just got back from the hardware store.3/8 glav lock washers fit nicely inside the wheel around the hexall you need to do is bend them flat.

A stop at the hobby shop and I now have all the materials for a ladder type frame. I will be using brass rectangle hollow stock for the rails and flat stock for the x-members....

Shes ging to kill me building this at the condo on vacation well, that and she was buying me one for x-mas also, oh well, guess I will have 2 of them

Ran it for 20 minutes on a 300mh 20c lipoShut it down and put it on the charger,I am curious as to how many milliamps it will take to charge to full. I dont trust the lipo campatable stock esc,not sure if it has cut off and untill I order more of these little lipos i dont want to toast one.

Much better wheel speed and oesnt dump/drain like the stocker after a few minutes.

At full stuff she rubs a bit, I enlarged the wheel wells a bit but didnt want to go to far and ruin the look.

Just checked the charger, took 230mh...Next time I will run 25 min to see what happens

Actually it's an old AMT 1/25 scale kit and Model King teamed with RC2/ERTL a few years back and had a really nice limited run re-issue of it. IIRC there was also a monster truck version that was released in teh 80's too!
