| Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - "Jeep Carnage"
I want to show you my Jeep Wrangler TJ Unlimited build using Trex Axles, R2HD Transmission, 1.55 Rock Stompers and Steel Beadlocks, ... It will not be a super scale rig, more something like a scale comp rig. I want it to have a quite low COG to avoid rollovers. This is what i started with: ...and this is what I did to it first:  Some parts I will use: Build status so far... You see... still much homework to be done. I'll keep you updated. |

And again some progress... The frame has shock hoops now: Temporary 4-link bracket in the front. I am not 100% sure if I will use an angled arm setup or something with a panhard rod... Final 4-link bracket in the rear... Next thing to do are the links... to get this thing rolling. |

And again some progress... IT'S ROLLING! \o/ I calculated link lengths and positions following a tutorial for 1:1s and fine tuned them using a wheelbase fixture. It's working quite good now... |

Thanks guys! Could not wait to get that thing on its wheels. Just tinkering on the frame without seeing "real" results got a bit annoying. I am just thinking about the color choice... I think it will be RAL6031 or RAL6014. As far as I know both of this colors have been used by the US Army. Overall the car will have something like a pseudo-military rat look. |

I have to agree that stance is steller...Not to high, but have ground clearence to. Those axles give it that SCALE look.. I see you can braze, are you doing some fancy cage for it???

Yes, I will make a cage for it. The body will get something like a metal groundplate, the cage will be bolted to. So I can screw the body (together witch the cage) to the chassis. With this design rollovers won't be to harmful. - Hopefully. The Cage will be going into this direction... |
