I put a strip of stick on weights on my 1.5's. I used kitchen shears to trim off what I did not need.

I used stick on weights on the inner ring, I did have to trim them because they were too wide. But because the wheels are steel already, they do not need much weight.

You can use the stick on weights, but the width will keep you from assembling the wheel. I cut the stick-on into each 3g piece and assembled them length-wise (shorter side perpendicular to the outside of the wheel) and crushed them to conform to the middle section with pilers. You can run two rows on top of each other and will have 5oz of weight by trimming two pieces to fit.

If you do any serious up-hill crawling you'll benefit from at least 4-6oz of weight in each front wheel. These wheels alone do not weigh much more than a standard Axial plastic 8-hole beadlock wheel.

We use lead "rope" from McMaster Carr. Basically it's just lead wire that comes on a spool...we got the 1/8" diameter wire, then just wrap it around as many times as you need to achieve the weight you desire.

I used the stick on wheel weights then i wrapped it in a little vinyl tape so the foam insert would slip and not slide off to the inside if the tire also i cut the inside edges of the foam so it didnt get caught in the bead of the tire when i mounted them up.

I just used the standard great planes weights 7g each arranged in equal parts around the center of the chrome ring after bending them a bit. Then use two rounds of electrical tape to secure them. Afterwards just bolted both sides of the wheels together no problem. I have done the same on the 2.2, 1.9, and 1.55 internal beadlock OEMs. I love them!
