| SCX10 Green Machine UPDATE 9-12
Well this is my first scaler and I have never done anything like this before. I figure I will put a build thread on here and get some feed back on my rig. To start with I am painting the body just to make it mine. Plans are a custom build roof rack, rock sliders, and some lights. From there I am not sure where it will go. Here are some pics before the paint tonight. Last edited by zgray19; 09-12-2010 at 08:00 PM. |

Welcome to the addiction. Nice start. I believe your post will be moved by the moderators. It belongs in either the 1.9 scale or SCX page, not 1.5. |

It does look cool green. I actually like the wild colors. Is it stock under the hood? Any plans to upgrade if stock and to what? Keep up the good work and have fun. |

Took it out for a run last night, put a few scratches in the new color. I started looking at things to build the rock sliders with. I am trying to figure out what I am going to make them out of.

Well I went to the local RC shop today and ordered some new parts. The guy there has been trying to buy this body off me for a while now and I gave in today. He ordered me a Proline Bronco body and the proline underbody. There will be updates and pictures as soon as those come in.

Ok so scaling is crazy, I cant get enough of this stuff. Here is the latest update of the car. So first of I didnt relize that this body was build for the 12.3 wheel base and my truck was the 11.8. So I had to stretch it. Luckaly I race 1/24th slot cars and bo-link wheel spacer work great. LOL needless to say it is stretched and the wheel base looks great on the body. |

I forgot the Paint Ok so the paint is done in silver underneath the body and the purple is on the outside of the body. I did this to make it a little more realistic when it get some trail rash. With the silver on the inside it will give it a little more of the metal underneath the paint when it get scratch off much like a real truck when you scrape a tree. Hope you guys like the new paint. I am still working on some other stuff that will be up at some point. School is back in setion though so hobbies get pushed to the side for a little while. |

That is very close to the truck. I am going to have to work on that front bumper and the white stripe. I have been contemplating cutting the top as well. Thanks for showing me that!

Well here are some pics of it out and running. I broke the out drive shaft on the second run as a bronco, typical ford lol. |
