Here are some pics of my sons LR3. Its pretty much stock under the body except for new rear links. Ill get body off pics soon. Its still a WIP. I based the bumper off of the RTE's LR3 bumper. See below

So far this is what i came up with. Its not attached yet but will be soon. All thats left is the rear bumper which ill start sometime soon. So, whatcha all think so far. PLease comment good or bad.

Thanks. Here's a laundry list of things i still need.

GPM front arms and steering kit
RC4WD GRU prob 3:1
Long punisher shaft to fit this

Thats probably it for now unless i decide to move it to a different frame. Then ill need a set of TLT axles. Well see.

Awesome bumper, I prefer the folded sheet metal bumpers to the tube bumpers I see on some of the LR3's.

Looks sick!!!! Cant wait to see the progress. How well do those 1.55 tires fit in the wheel wells? Did you have to trim at all to get them to fit?

Little trimming required but ill be getting some SDI over fenders so that should be no issue after that.

Ill get some pics up soon. Took it for a test run and was impressed! Gotta tighten the gear cover though as the gears were making some horrible noises. Hope they are not toast! Still working on a rear bumper.

I know this is overdue but ive been busy. Oh well here goes. I played around with a few different setups for a 4link rear and ended up with this. I used TLT link mounts, cut down axial links, and made a link truss. It actually works really well.

Here is an underbody shot showing how i fit all the electronics in there. The servo winch is a JR 590M metal gear servo attached to a sewing spool. It works really well and pulls this little truck up off its wheels if need be.

And finally with the body mounted up. Roof rack is still a WIP. What do you guys think about the design? I didnt want to copy anyone elses so i came up with my own. Its a mashup of the Roverrack rack, GOBI, with some of my own little twist to it. Its rather simple but i had to work with what steel rod i had left.

Only things left are lights, fender flares, and new gears and bearings. Please comment good or bad. This thing if so fun to wheel!

Like the roof rack-to be honest, I see a string of driving lights mounted in there between the top and bottom rails.

You must be psychic! I was in the garage just a minute ago brazing the mount for the lights! haha. AFter that comes the mesh courtesy of some paper racks that i got from work. I love this building thing! Thanks for the comments. Dont worry i take negative feedback with positivity. It gives me motivation to do better next time!

Great work on the rack! It'll look awesome with the lights up there. That truss is pretty sweet too; are you getting a bit more articulation in the back now? You might end up needing more travel up front to balance it out.
