1.9's have pin but talk to anyone who has had hex slippage this is a good thing plus back piece then looks more like it could be a brake rotor |

Anyone got a pic of them disassembled? I got a set with tires on a trade, and I can't tell how they work like a beadlock with the tire on. Does the hex come out of the back and somehow take the rear of the rim off?

The hex is held on by the screws. This separates the two wheel halves and exposes the center ring inside the tire. The two wheel halves sandwich the tire's bead to the inner ring.

A couple of the tires looked like they were glued on the back so I didn't want to destroy them. Do they make weighted rings for these? A couple felt considerably heavier than the others, and one looked like it had a smaller center piece. Guess I will have to take them apart lol

Hey Jer, There is a ring on the inside of the wheels that the 2 outer pieces (black) squeeze the bead between. 2 of the wheels you have have been weighted with "lead rope". I had to lightly glue the tires on because when they would get wet I would sometimes pull a bead off. If you boil the wheels and tires for about 15 minutes they will seperate just fine and be completely reusable. The "lug nut" screws hold the entire wheel together. They strip very easily and I will send you the bag of extras I have. I hope this helps. If you have any questiond about them please feel free to PM me. |

Cave-man is correct, the "lug-nut" screws do strip very easily. What I have done to mine is to drill the 2.5 holes with a #40 drill and then tap them to 3mm. You will also need to turn down the heads of the 3mm bolts so they fit into the recess that the 2.5s did. They look alot beefier and still pretty scale looking.

There is a front and back stamped wheel half, the inner bead lock ring and the the hub. You can easily add weight to the inner ring. http://store.rc4wd.com/Stamped-Steel...eel-_p_36.html |
